(Bundesliga 2023/2024): Highlights Borussia Dortmund - Heidenheim

Borussia Dortmund's new signing Niklas Fulkrug is on the bench as they face newly promoted Heidenheim. Heidenheim have never faced Dortmund before in competitive play. Here is Daniel Marlen in form. Good ball in. Emre Can charged it down and what a wonder France with an instinctive turn and volley. An early goal for Dortmund. Here is Brandt again. He's been lively and was that a hand ball from Lennard Maloney? The referee's had a look and gives the penalty. Frank Schmidt can't believe it. It's Emre Can to make it 2-0 and he does. Dortmund 2-0 up inside quarter of an hour. 2-0 at the break. Dortmund in command. Careless again. Gifted straight to Heidenheim. It's Dinkje. Dinkje! Stunning volley and Heidenheim back in the game. This has been quite the turnaround. Allaire has lost it and he's fouled Bester. Penalty! Remarkable. Bester was off sides but did Allaire have control of that ball and is it a new phase of play? The referee says it's offside. So full crew comes on for his Dortmund debut but the referee Tobias Rijkaals having another look at this. Gave the penalty then took it away. Is he going to give it again? He is! It's Tim Kleindienst. It's 2-2. The script is in tatters. Heidenheim get their first ever point in the Bundesliga but it's despair for Dortmund.
