Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is now standing trial. This isn’t a trial in a normal court system, though. It’s an impeachment trial, brought by his own party. His fate will be decided by a jury of 31 senators. The Republican-controlled Texas House of Representatives voted to have him removed from office in a narrow vote of 121 to 123. His accusations include taking bribes, and using his office to help a donor. If he’s convicted on any of the 20 articles brought against him, he’ll then face a second vote to block him from holding any public office ever again.
In other news, the United Nations has a new plan to advance its climate change agenda. It has issued a call for children to sue their country’s leaders on climate change. Here to speak with us about this is Alex Newman. He’s an award-winning international journalist and Epoch Times contributor.
