Wild Camping with a Child | Canoeing, Campfires & Outdoor Life with Kids

I borrowed a kid from my sister. Me and Tuva loaded up a canoe and took off for a wild camping trip to an island. We got two really nice days canoeing on the water, beautiful sunset, campfire and good food.
It’s much fun to be out camping with children. I learn a lot from them about their life and hopefully they learn and get some outdoor experience from me or at least we have fun together.
If you go camping with a child or make other outdoor activities with kids, don’t make it to advanced. Try to make it in a way so they still want more after the trip. As an adult it’s easy to plan too long distances. Prioritize instead the time together and don’t forget the campfires and all the small things that’s part of life out there.
I’m really looking forward to the next trip with Tuva or one of her siblings. /Matti
