After an awesome buffet breakfast at our hotel, our bus took us to the first ferry of our tour. It was mostly a travel day with tiny pockets of exploration. We crossed the Baltic Sea to Norway, and got our first view of the fjords.
ITINERARY This is what the TourRadar itinerary listed for the day:
Day 2. Viernes, 23 De Septiembre De 2022 - AARHUS, FERRY, KRISTIANSAND, STAVANGER Total distance: 420 km Scenery: Attractive woodlands and mountains in Norway; first view of fjords. Notes: The times of the ferries between Denmark and Norway often vary and so the times during this part of the circuit will depend on those changes. We recommend you wear warm clothing for the boat crossing. In Norway, the currency is the Norwegian Krone. We suggest your change your currency on the ferry.
08:00 h - Aarhus –Departure-. We set out for the northern part of Denmark, amidst attractive scenery. 10:30 h - Hirsthals. We take a tour of this city and port before embarking on the modern ferry to cross the North Sea to Norway-. Normally our boat sails at 12.15 h. The crossing takes about three hours. We advise you to change your currency on the boat and have lunch. 15:30 h. - Kristiansand – We land and then continue our journey-. 17:00 h. - Flekkefjord –A town on a fjord, with wooden houses and tiny restaurants. Time to explore. 17:45 h. - Flekkfjord –Departure-. The scenery is even more attractive. 19:45 h. - Stavanger –Arrival-. Free time to explore this beautiful lively city next to the sea.

Here we are. Breakfast here.
It's the second morning and I just want to do a little video of the breakfast here because it's one of the best breakfasts I've ever seen.
Which was included in the room. So, not that you had to pay extra for it.
We pay extra?
No, but you didn't have to.
That's what I'm saying, it was just included.
Wow, what is this?
I don't know, it's like some...
Omelette.
Yeah.
Usually places a skimp on the fruit and vegetables, but plenty here.
You're not kidding.
Yeah.
I'm going to have an omelette today.
What?
This.
Prepare for the road.
Dangerous bear.
That's a dangerous bear?
Okay.
Good.
Over here we have the juice and coffee dispensers.
Fresh, round, look at it grinding up your coffee.
A little juice dispenser.
Push the tablet and it will give you what you want.
I got to help him out there.
There you go.
And our gluten free section.
And another section.
Super nice, super nice.
We're about ready to take our first ferry.
And the boat's not here yet, but the bus is actually going to go on the ferry.
It says it's a super big ferry.
So we're just walking into the ferry terminal.
We've got about an hour or so.
Supposedly it's a three hour and 15 minute ride here today.
So it should be interesting.
I don't know why they left this rock here.
I think this is the ferry they'll be taking.
Just arriving from its most recent trip.
We depart here in about 45 minutes or so.
So this is probably it.
Pretty big.
I think we're going to get the bus on there and everything.
So it should be an interesting cruise here.
What are we on?
This is the Baltic here I think.
So as we travel to Norway.
Here we see the unloading.
We've got the trucks and the buses discharging from the bottom level.
We've got the cars unloading from the top level.
And over here we've got the people walking off on their own pathway.
So it's super efficient.
And obviously it can put a lot of trucks and cars in there.
Let's go this way.
Let's go up.
Thank you.
It's a sun deck.
No sun right now.
In fact we just had a little rain storm.
Made everything wet.
Sit on here.
There it is.
Back and on out of the port here.
We're leaving flat Denmark.
And soon we'll be into the place.
Includes a little cafeteria.
Some dishes.
Some meat and fish dishes.
Hamburger.
Cheeseburger.
Fries.
Beer.
Salads down there.
So this is pretty nice.
There's also a restaurant on board here.
I'll take you to the restaurant.
Here's the restaurant.
Has a buffet.
Steps down here.
This is not what I expected actually.
It's really really nice.
It's got a little deli here.
Not open yet.
Not sure when it opens.
But I suspect it'll be pretty soon.
A little bar here which is not open.
But this Bluefin's lounge is open.
Or maybe it's not.
I guess it's not open.
We could have come back here and had a seat.
That would have been great to have a seat right there.
But it doesn't matter.
We've got a good seat as it is.
And here's Lisa.
Chowing at our seats.
Watching the sea go by.
Hello.
The stern.
Another lighthouse on this other side here.
And here we are in the bowels of the ship here.
This is our bus.
Our bus is the blue bus.
And the cruise ship.
Look at all the people in the back.
That baby.
Saying goodbye.
The ocean in our left hand side is the North Sea.
First taste of the fjords.
Do you know what the name of this town is here, Sa?
It's Fleck something.
Fleck something.
Short little stop on the bus.
Just enough to go to the bathroom.
Come here, take a look at the view.
And that's about all we're going to get.
I'm going to try to get across the road.
Because there's some good picture over there.
But here we're right into the sun.
It's mostly been a travel day.
It's actually pretty much all been a travel day.
But this is a stunningly beautiful shot right here.
Where we hustle back onto the bus.
