HIGHLIGHTS- FC Cincinnati vs. New York City FC - August 26, 2023

Individuals show that they on an individual basis. They have talent, but they need to show that collectively going forward This is a NYC FT team who show that they've struggled in front of goal Mercy, I'm actually when I was coming back in creating five of those but ultimately falling to defeat We're getting in must-win territory for NYC FC if they have to get back in the playoff picture it is MC Cincinnati get us on the way attacking from right to left the side known as the orange and blue Mask is making a run inside fall back for a costa into the penalty area twisting and turning still has it plays Hold say and a big side Could not miss He in such a threatening position in that left-wing back role has been lively from minute one He's never brought the safe from Barraza To get his second MLS goal Hangover from midweek match against into Miami. I think we have our answer FC Cincinnati mean business But I'm so with a good say Fernandez Crosses blocked by Murphy Another good cross the flick and that one's wide Costa really comfortable playing out of pressure there again FC Cincinnati Lucho Acosta driving forward Moreno going beyond him who pens up quick delivery Vasquez at that far post Vasquez with the head on Barraza with a comfortable save but again how they played through the lines Mostly now trying to get a little bit of with two pens up just behind being on the same wavelength those two so far It's just wide a little bit of an inquest there from our teams and some of the midfielders in front of him as well Somebody's got to be here to first of all help out of this situation defensively, but he's dribbling into no-man's-land He's looking for an option to play out of the back and he has no one so he thinks maybe I can take this Who pens it does well to recover it doesn't miss by much Puts that fire out just gets enough on the ball to take it out of the stride of who pens a Cross a little flick from pariah just wine. That's the best chance. They might see if had Inches away selling Tana was well beaten as well Scoring first goes a long way in this process and they've done that just so far this in this match It is NYC FC. You'll get us underway in the second half attacking from right to left Vasquez Acosta Continues Moreno Acosta who pens at the far post go himself Acosta cuts back plays it back Stunning team goal from FC Cincinnati That's raining run faction FC Cincinnati a transition team because when they get on the run, they're so sharp. It's the IQ of Lucho Acosta to spot the runs of his teammates Look at Moreno at the top of your screen his commitment to get into the box He doesn't know if he's gonna get the ball or not But he said as long as I put myself in an area whether I'm getting on to the first cross or winning a second ball I Will able to contribute to this team. It's a good cutback by Lucho Acosta that picks him out In the angle that he takes up to ultimately ultimately good possession for his side Jason with one goal on the season With three balls took a deflection the crawl and that one is a big save from Salitano a massive save here from Salitano because Illinois just gambles for the first time and just takes that one touch cross the little deflection off of Halsey now puts it it's a Really tough situation Corner kick keep pops another touch in talents Magno almost getting a second touch Kufra a good read good spell for NYC FC Can they make it count had a far post on a tunnel with the same and he holds on at the second attempt It's good for NYC FC to keep this play alive Kufra just clip in that ball to the own money across with Lucho Acosta He goes short for Acosta within delivery With a pinpoint finish Where on earth was the marking from NYC FC? Nick Hagelin has sealed it FC Cincinnati with a perfect response to the most difficult week of their season 3-0 Not just this side, but the individual player Nick Hagelin He's a player who missed that last penalty kick in the shootout in midweek. What a response the hometown kid On March, but this is a difficult header because of how far he is away from goal There's not an incredible amount of weight on the pass either Receiving it from Morales Magnet trying to make a run central good play out wide from Jason Cross in towards the far post Keaton Parks takes it down And then close down still got a shot off He does well 1v1 against Lucho Acosta he opens up the game with the ball wide to Jason who's also just come on Little quick ball to the far post and it's a late run out of midfield. Keaton Parks getting on the end of things Little shimmy of the hips to try to create separation Challenge stepped out there by Mayask Jason with the cross, Keaton Parks, good header and what a stunning save from Salentano Lucho Acosta Over it, Marial as well Marial with the touch, Lucho Acosta from distance and Brasa got down. I think he got a hand to that one He did you know that's gonna be a corner A little bit of a shift there from Marial to change the angle and make it a clear strike for Acosta You think the personnel are there to be better than what we're seeing? I'm just going from game to game, the Minnesota game to this game has been day and night As it finishes 3-0 and it's a massive three points for FC Cincinnati
