Very good morning guys. It's a very early morning here in Isfahan in Iran and we are doing a morning
exploration without any people and we'll be entering to the mosque and I want to show you
around as well. So behind me there's a big square which is called Naqsh-e Jahan square. This is the
name of it in case you are looking for it Naqsh-e Jahan square. It's a big square and then that's
where the people normally gather during the day and also during the night when it's much cooler.
I also made some nice friends here. What was your names?
Martin. Martin. Martin. Martin. Martin. Nice to meet you. And your name?
Mohammad Mahdi. Welcome to Isfahan. Thank you so much brother. Thank you. Thank you.
So this mosque name you say it's a Abbasi mosque. Yes. Or Imam mosque. Imam mosque or Abbasi mosque.
The entrance of the mosque is just amazing. Check this out. There's a beautiful big arch in the
entrance and you can see how beautifully and you can see the Islamic architecture around it.
All the... This is Arabic letters or Farsi letters? Arabic. This is Arabic letters yeah? Okay.
So we have Arabic letters probably names of Allah been written there and then we have a beautifully
designed big arch. You can see almost I don't know maybe 20-30 different colors there and all
different type of designs which we will go closer and then explore as well. Brother. Have a good
trip. Thank you so much. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. See you next time. Inshallah. Bye-bye.
Bye-bye. So for this mosque actually you have to pay. So we paid 1 million rials in Iranian money
which is around four dollars I think. Hello. Brother. Here we go. Ticket. I see.
Ah new technologies. He's gonna scan it I guess. It's his phone. How cool is that?
He's checking for the validation. Approved? Approved. Okay.
So before we enter to the mosque I want to show you guys the designs on the wall. Check this out.
Like you can imagine each and single of this is a different piece. So imagine how much time and
effort's been put in this mosque. And then once you look up you can see it much differently
actually in the camera and then with your own eyes. And then we have a wooden door which we're
gonna enter from here. And then go explore the mosque. This is the first property I'm entering
in Isfahan. So super excited. First thing takes my attention is the iron wall here.
So wow that's really big. And then this one is like just a wooden door. And then there's another
door which is much bigger and probably much much older as well. This door looks much fresh.
Beautiful. Let's go inside. Let's go explore before many other people come. First thing first
we have to check out the rules. So you shouldn't have a short pants. You shouldn't have a torn pants.
You shouldn't have a see-through. So you cannot have leggings and stuff like that.
And no short tops and open collar shirt as well. So it means like your belly shouldn't be open.
And here your chest shouldn't be showing up too much. And this is what's allowed basically for
men and women. And I am well dressed. I have trousers. I have shoes. I have long sleeve
shirts as well. And then there's a businessman here selling some stuff. Salam brother.
How are you brother? Good. You speak English? A little. Can you tell me how old is this mosque?
Near 430. 430. Wow amazing. What are you selling? You have some Iranian books here.
This is different languages right? This is what is this Portuguese? Portuguese. This is Spanish.
This is French. This is Spanish. And then what is this? English. It's English.
I was so focused at what language is it. I didn't realize it's English.
Beautiful brother. Let me go check the mosque before people come. And then I come maybe make
a business. Thank you. 430 years old. Wow impressive. We are stepping on an amazing
history guys. And I'm so glad you are here with me. So you don't see what I see right now. But
I'm gonna show you in a second. Check this beauty out. Look at this. Beautiful. It's amazing. This
is like something similar to the entrance. But it doesn't look 3D as it was looking in the
in the beginning or in the entrance. So once you enter to the main part of the mosque you can see
this one here. And then there's also copies on the other side. So there's one here,
second one and the third one.
Ah surprisingly we have another one here. So will be four different arches.
It's amazing. So beautiful. It's a little bit dark right now but gonna get better.
Wow wow wow wow. It's amazing. And then I'm so glad how clean they keep this place as well.
You can see there's also some type of artwork or structure in the middle. And then
all the colors of the mosque and all the pillars you can see on the wall is just incredible.
So what you are looking at here guys it's 400 plus years old. So you cannot imagine how many people
been here, how many important people visited this place and how many people came here to worship as
well. What a beauty. What we're gonna do go a little bit of exploration. Maybe let's go to the
main arch. When you enter to the arch actually behind that there's also big tomb. And that part
is actually under reconstruction at the moment. But it's I think from the outside. But from the
inside part we should be able to see some nice view. I don't know if you can see me well but
maybe this way you will see it much better. So this is the the main part with the tomb.
I think this is the most exciting part of the mosque.
Oh my god this is amazing. Check this out. I guess we are allowed to enter here right?
Should we take off the shoes or not? The gentleman is going without a shoe so I'm gonna go the same.
Oh my god. Check this beautiful tomb out guys. First of all let me show you the down part.
So there's also big arches like one here also in the second floor. And then you have a
place small arch which showing the direction to the Mecca. And then on the other side you also have
a symmetric arch. And then most importantly you have to check out the top guys. Look at this. Look
Wow it's amazing. Also I'm not sure if you can see but there are small windows here so there's
some type of light coming from the other side. But not too much. I think what keeps this place
bright is this small arches on the both sides. And then we have also some birds are enjoying
their time here. And they are nesting this place. What are you doing? Go away bird. Not nice.
Just ---- it here. Go away. And then I bet the staircase which is will be probably at least 400
years old as well. It's actually not wooden. Wow. I think we have a chance to touch it. So
let's touch the history guys. So this staircase normally used by the person who is basically
allowed or has a high title like a hound or even higher. Someone can sit here at the top
and then do the prayers. So they can read some prayers or he can have some type of a speech as
well by raising himself up on the staircase. It's okay. It's okay. No no it's okay. No it's okay.
So there's echo. There's echo. Okay. Try. Test. Hello. Hello. How are you? Good.
Very good. I'm from Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan. Are you fine in this country? Beautiful. Isfahan is
amazing. So this gentleman is standing here in the middle and then there's an echo.
Hello. How are you? Are you fine? Yes. I hope you have a good time in this country. Yes. Iran is
amazing. Thank you. Nice to meet you brother. What's your name? Ali. Ali. Ali. Mashallah. Davut.
My name is Davut. Nice to meet you. Davut. Davut. Yes. Yes. Yes. I'm fine. Yes. I'm fine too.
Wow very interesting. So you stand here. Oh no no it's okay. It's okay. So you can stand in the
middle and if you just speak not even too loud. Even I speak like this I can hear myself. Let's
test it out. Hello. Wow. And then even my laugh is like going up and then down. It's amazing.
Test. Test. Hello. Wow. Where are you from? I'm from Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan. Yes. Yes. Yes.
You from here? No. From Iran? From Iran. Tehran. Tehran. Yeah nice. I go Tehran. I'm Turkish.
Oh you're Turkish? Yes. Do you speak Turkish? Yes. Can you speak? Yes. Turkish, Azerbaijanian
and English. Can you speak Turkish? Yes. Yes. Yes. I should speak.
I can speak Turkish. Yes. Can you understand me? I can speak Turkish. Yes. Yes. Yes.
I'm from Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan. Super. Super. Super. I'm glad too. I'm glad too.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Everything was beautiful. Very beautiful. Thank you. Thank you.
So he speaks Azerbaijanian. Basically Turkish. Azerbaijani is part of Turkish language groups and
if you have seen my other videos you know that there are so many
Azerbaijanians living here. Almost half of the population in Iran is Iranian-Azerbaijanian.
So what I was saying guys, that staircase I was showing you where the gentleman might be
sitting at the top and then doing the prayers or having a speech. The reason is that when he's
higher so when there's so many people here people from the far distance can hear him.
I say him because it's majority of the time is him. I've never seen or heard a woman doing that
type of a job. So and then we are talking about like 300-400 years old place. So of course there
was no microphones, no speakers, nothing like that. So that's why. Okay we are gonna check out
another part of the mosque and we're gonna go back make a business with the gentleman.
It's amazing. We have three columns in the middle and also the few of them on the wall
designed the way it looks very symmetric. So this is the one hole and the second hole.
Probably the other part is also symmetric to here but I think that part is under construction so
will not really go there. Beautiful. I just love it. It's amazing. So happy to be here.
Touch to the history. We have another part. The gentlemen are doing some work.
There is an application for short courses on knowing Islam. That's very interesting. I'm sure
it's designed or let's say targeted for the tourists. Check out what you see behind me guys.
This is what I was talking about. There's a reconstruction going on from the outside of the
tomb and then you have two minarets here. One here and one here and then there's two more minarets
in the entrance part I think. You can see one there and then one in the behind the arch.
Beautiful. So I think we're gonna go back make a business with the gentleman
and afterwards I'm gonna take some very nice pictures without people. This is one of the
best things about waking up so early. Right now it's 9 9 a.m and I was the first person
entering to the mosque. I love it.
