The Silent Child | Oscar® Winning Short Film

A short film about a deaf little girl named Libby. She lives in an educated family but can not communicate with family members. Her mom hired Joanne working as a sign language teacher to teach and take care of Libby. With Joanne’s love and caring, Libby starts to learn using sign language. They really enjoy the time together. Unfortunately, Libby’s parents do not have the same thinking as the teacher. They decide to stop letting Libby continue learning with Joanne because they think that speech therapy is a better route to take.
The short film aims to contribute to the fight for sign language to be recognised in every school across the globe. It is also a ring bell for the parents who really need to be closed to your kids, to understand them deeply so that you can make the best decision to help your childs.
