Trooper's Narrative:

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at approximately 1100 hours, the Arkansas Community Corrections (ACC) Special Response
Team (SRT) requested assistance with the apprehension of a state parole absconder at the Spanish Willow Apartment
complex at 7510 Geyer Springs Road.

While staging, undercover law enforcement units advised they believed a known state parole absconder, Darnell Washington
(B/M, DOB: 9/2/88), was getting into a Black Chevrolet Impala. SRT Agent Thomas Ford advised the subject was leaving the
apartment complex towards Geyer Springs Rd. and the vehicle had extensive rear end damage that obstructed the license
plate of the vehicle.

I attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the Black Chevrolet Impala at the entrance to Spanish Willow Apartments and Geyer
Springs Rd. I attempted to block the vehicle in to prevent the subject from fleeing, when the vehicle reversed away from me,
before proceeding forward around my patrol vehicle. I gave pursuit behind the vehicle Southbound on Geyer Springs Rd.
towards Interstate 30. While approaching Interstate 30, the vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Geyer Springs Rd. and
Young Rd. The vehicle attempted to elude me by cutting through traffic, before striking the rear of a vehicle that was stopped at
the intersection of Geyer Springs Rd. and the South Service Road of Interstate 30. The vehicle proceeded forward before
striking a street light pole with the front of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to become disabled. The driver then exited the
vehicle through the front passenger door and began to flee on foot, Southbound on Geyer Springs Rd. I was able to catch the
driver, later identified as Mahlik Reaves and detain him on the ground until additional Troopers could arrive. Mr. Reaves was
then placed under arrest in handcuffs.

During a search incident to arrest, I located an empty Glock magazine in the right rear pocket of Mr. Reaves pants. I then
placed Mr. Reaves in the back seat of my patrol vehicle. When trying to identify Mr. Reaves, he stated his name was Jameson
Robinson (B/M 1/17/97). MEMS Pulaski County and Little Rock Fire Department checked Mr. Reaves conditions while on
scene. Neither agency alerted to any medical conditions at this time. After conducting a registration check on that name, I was
able to determine Mr. Reaves provided me with a false name and learned that Mr. Reaves was also a state probation
absconder.

While conducting a search of the vehicle, DEA Task Force Officer (TFO) Stephen Briggs located a loaded Smith and Wesson
.22 Caliber Rife (Serial Number WAE8083) inside of the vehicle along with suspected marijuana and suspected
methamphetamine. TFO Briggs also located a Cricket cell phone within the vehicle. TFO Briggs took possession of the above
listed items that were found on Mr. Reaves and within the vehicle. Mr. Reaves was then transported to Little Rock Police
Department's Northwest Substation to speak with detectives.

After speaking with detectives, Mr. Reaves was transported to Pulaski County Jail and booked in on Felony Fleeing, Poss. of
Firearm by Certain Person, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Meth, Misd. Fleeing, Possession
of Marijuana, Obstruction Governmental Operations, Driving on Suspended DL, Fail to Stop at a Red Light, Careless Driving,
Fail to Yield to Emergency Vehicle, No Liability Insurance, and No Seatbelt.

Mr. Reaves also showed to have two additional
warrants, one out of Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, and one out of Gregg County Texas.
