Union vs Inter Miami: Lionel Messi comes to Subaru Park for Leagues Cup semifinal

Action news reporter Aliana Gomez live there at Subaru Park tonight. Aliana, the madness is underway. Oh, it is. It's been dubbed Messy Mania is what we've been calling it all day. And it has been insane. The fans have left the tailgate now. Officially, the tailgate party was wild and they are all making their way into Subaru Park for seeing like a cloud of yellow and blue smoke over here. I don't know what's going on, but everybody is so excited. This is such a big game. And obviously everyone's excited to see messy in the last 15 minutes. We saw the team buses come in with a full police escort and we saw fans rushing towards the buses just to try to get a glimpse of messy. It's all excitement out here. Messy. Let's go, Union. Let's take them down. Philadelphia fans are going crazy over the arrival of soccer superstar Lionel Messi as he makes his debut tonight at Subaru Park in Chester. Not every day that one of the world's best players, you know, is in your city. So that's pretty cool. We found fans lined up for hours outside the Red Center City waiting for the moment Messi leaves the hotel for the big game. Of course, I'm not here for Messi. I mean, he's the goat down at the tailgate lot. We met one super fan who might get the chance of a lifetime to get up close and personal with the goat. What are you doing here tonight? To hold the player's hand. Which player? Messi. You're going to hold Messi's hand? I don't know. There's maybe like a 4% chance. 13 year season ticket holders Elvis and Elizabeth Gonzalez recognize Messi's talent. They're hoping for his downfall. It's cool to see Messi, but I mean, my team is for the Union. One hundred percent. We could have sold the tickets and we did. And we are with the Union through and through. Messi, Messi. The stadium will be packed. And so will local sports bars like Tirrano, which is hosting a big watch party. We have great beer specials. We have some food specials going on. And more importantly, we got 12 large screen TVs. And the best thing about it is that it's going to be a lot of people from Philadelphia just want to cheer on their home team. I've got to tell you, Messi's presence here in the Philadelphia area has soccer fans torn, right? Because when you're a diehard Philadelphia fan, you want to root for Union. But because you're a soccer fan and you know Messi is the GOAT, you're also like, but I love Messi. So either way, fans say it's going to be a win win. I just checked VividSeats again and tickets for standing room only are going for about two hundred dollars. So try to get your try to make your way out here to Subaru Park for live in Chester, Aliana Gomez, Channel six Action News, right? Yeah. Fans will be forgiven for cheering on both sides tonight. Aliana, thank you.
