Highlights: AZ - Go Ahead Eagles | Eredivisie 2023/2024

It's quite a commotion as Go Ahead Eagles and AZ enter the field Full of hope full of courage full of expectations And it's always just a question of what comes of it around April May He's going to start Ruben van Bommel AZ and Go Ahead Eagles open the Eredivisie season against each other just like last year Also in Alkmaar 2-0 About a year ago the final standings of Pavlidis and Bredenrode This is a good run by Van Bommel And then Amova steps in And he is immediately knocked off by Makkeli Jamal Amova's slip followed by a necessary intervention Two minutes away in Alkmaar as Soukewaarde The free kick beautifully curled but De Lange with his fingertips shows that the contract extension was not in vain By 2026 they will be able to enjoy this kind of beautiful hang gliding by Jeffrey De Lange Soukewaarde now with the corner And he is almost tackled by Hatzidiakos That's how AZ starts with a chance Amova of course warned but he still takes some risks Well he's really starting off badly in the competition And now he can't fix it anymore AZ is leading And Amova can sink into the ground Klaasie the celebrated man Van Bommel chases Amova for the second time Amova is there for the second time handling it poorly So it wasn't shaken awake by that one slip-up This is once again frivolous Van Bommel is in between and Klaasie still has some work to do You can start a season poorly and you can play football for four minutes like Jamal Amova Soukawane the man of the match reports After the free kick and the corner from the right he now takes the corner from the left Then he spins nicely around Pavlidis' head Bird free 2-0 AZ The child did not have any chance against Go Ahead Eagles in the opening phase He just walks up and no one notices him He starts at number 16 Everyone blocks someone and Pavlidis can nod freely Hoppa van Marwijk also made his debut in the AZ-Go Ahead Eagles match on August 17 1975 Take a deep breath and reset yourself as Go Ahead They are standing there with many AZ as Hatzidiakos again scores a goal And it's the 3-0 that doesn't fall Excellent pass by Hatzidiakos But look how many goals AZ has Pavlidis but also Bommel De Wit and you don't see many of them from Go Ahead Come on Blommen and Adekanje for them in place Olivier Edvardsen Joris Kramer XAZ and Enrique Janssana Press on with AZ and the awkwardness will slip back in It's still just 2-0 It feels like a much bigger lead for AZ which is truly dominant This is the third hit when the long ball is in position And there Van Bommel should pass him in He's doing it already 3-0 after an assist Now also a goal from Ruben van Bommel The family is going wild with Ruben van Bommel A golden assist a wide-ranging Grimlach Mark's genuine enthusiasm But just wait they are glowing inside And rightly so Pavlidis no out of play He's worried that he's not doing it right because the balls are still being touched a little Van Bommel jumps high enough for the ball to fall on his head One goal and one assist Of course this is also partly due to him It sounds full of Bommel Beautiful the Grimlach Calm The Hazet outbreak is also going deep as Kuipers So much space for the Alkmaar players Sugawara keeps the attack alive Pogoed can give it to Pavlidis and it would be 4-0 you could say But the long one gets him on a silver platter Moreover Pavlidis was also offside On the other side of Edvardsen This is an inconvenient violation by Hatsi Diakos Yellow for him It could still cost him his life I wonder if the offside is or isn't exactly right Free kick It's very nice No holding the Australian goalkeeper Nice open staircase Not in the far corner but Ryan isn't coming Till towards Edvardsen She lays him out for Sunday And maybe he'll still be good for Kuipers and we'll almost have a real exciting finish But Ryan It was a long time and not his afternoon for AZ But if Ryan doesn't handle this very well the note suddenly becomes high But he does grab him quite skillfully Pokoe sprints with Tijl That should be Pokoe's win He does win and then he is disqualified The decision of the arbitration is as follows And he kicks Tijl in the leg of Pokoe He kicks Pokoe in his left leg There So it is a penalty kick in the eyes of Alex Bos and Danny Makkeli But one from the category of very unfortunate Dani de Wit The margin is again 3 Something is definitely going to happen with Dani de Wit Heijnand That sounds like Pokoe Pokoe Rotterdam Pokoe Lachdoe Does he do it then Yes 5-1 AZ started the season with impressive numbers The top scorer of the pre-season Now more accurate in the first Eredivisie match And that is also the last ball contact of this match AZ defeats Go Ahead Eagles 5-1
