Caring For Elephants at Mae Rim Elephant Home

This is the Mae Rim Elephant Home where you can feed and wash the elephants. Think of it as, paying for the privilege to do the work of the staff.

There are 3 stages of interacting with the elephants, feeding them, giving them a mud bath, and then bathing them in the river to remove the mud.

Now for all those who feel the elephants are being abused to perform and be ridden on, my sister assures me, that is not what happens at this park.

They have various groups of elephants, so they get to rest between feedings & washes, and there is no riding of the elephants and they do not perform, you simply get to feed and wash them.
