New York City's Asian food scene is constantly evolving and expanding.
From street food to high-end, there's a staggering abundance of good Asian grub that can be found.
And if you're still not sure where to go, watch this video because I'm going to suggest three
spots to add to your next New York food itinerary. This is Asian Eats in New York.
Chinatown is a bit of a no-brainer if you're looking for, well, Chinese food, but there's
a special dumpling house that won't eat into your travel budget. It's called Vanessa's Dumplings,
and what sets them apart is their focus on traditional northern Chinese dumplings.
These dumplings are handmade daily, ensuring freshness and quality. You can also choose
between pan-fried or boiled. These dumplings each will run you about $5.50 US, but the scallions
and chili oil are extra, although I do highly recommend that you add these to your dumplings.
Our next location is in Times Square, and you can find some late-night dim sum that's
open until 1.30am. This place is called Dim Sum Palace, and I know dim sum is usually like a brunch
or a lunch kind of thing, but, you know, rules are sometimes meant to be broken. I mean, who wouldn't
want this smorgasbord of steamed or fried snackables when the sun goes down? It could be
good after a Broadway show. It could be good after the bar, or even just a late-night hunger craving.
Dim Sum Palace will have your back. The dumplings were all meaty and delicious and come steaming
hot. I recommend this place because who doesn't like dim sum? And our last stop is Momofuku, which
was opened by celebrity chef David Chang. The first Momofuku opened up in 2004, but since then they've
expanded to multiple locations, and they each have their own unique concept and menu. But what they're
really known for here is their pork belly bao. It's hoisin sauce, scallions, and marinated pork belly
on a soft fluffy bao. But there's also the ramen, which has a very vibrant and flavorful broth.
If you're going to come to New York and get Asian food, Momofuku is an absolute must.
