Hi guys, today is another really quick and easy recipe for you.
It's on the healthy side and it's really delicious.
When I was making it, I thought, well, a tuna wrap, can it be exciting?
But I must say it tastes really amazing because of the combination of the vegetables in it,
the flavor that I'm adding into the tuna.
It's really delicious.
My boyfriend, who is not a fan of this kind of simple things and vegetable intense things
said, it was really, really yummy.
So that's a really big plus.
And I also hope that you're going to love it as well.
So let's get started with the recipe.
I've prepared all the vegetables already for the wrap.
So I didn't film that process because it's fairly simple and I'm sure you're going to
manage it without me showing it to you.
So I've just sliced the red onion and then kind of sliced the cucumber and the red pepper
into these thin stripes.
Then also prepped the avocado, so kind of small pieces, grated one carrot, and then
I'm using also some parsley, which is optional.
So I've just roughly chopped that up.
Then I have a can of tuna here.
The tuna that I'm using was just tuna in brine, so in its own juices, and I'm going to add
to it about two tablespoons of mayo, a teaspoon of horseradish, and some freshly ground black
pepper.
I'm not adding any salt because the tuna is pretty salty, but you could also add a little
bit of salt.
And then we just want to mix it well to combine the mayo and horseradish and well, the black
pepper as well with the tuna.
And here you can add in a little bit more of mayo if you want to.
So just until it's all well combined.
And then I have my wrap here.
So how you want to fill is pretty much like this into this kind of a rectangular shape.
So we want to leave here some space so that you can wrap it like this and then close it
like this.
So if you fill it here, then you will be able to do that and try not to overdo with the
filling.
Then it's going to be easier for you to close the wrap.
So I'm first going to add in some of the tuna.
So now you can see I'm not going to go behind these lines, adding a little bit of the cucumber,
some extra flavor.
And then you just want to wrap it.
So I'm starting here.
So the bottom and the top first, then the sides, folding the sides like this, and then
rolling it up.
And then what I like to do is to secure with a toothpick.
So in case you are serving them a little bit later, then that's going to keep the wrap
together until then.
So what I did, I didn't add any spread on the wraps.
So if you want to add a little bit extra moisture, what you can do is to cover the wrap first
with cream cheese or something similar to kind of add a little bit more moisture.
I would, however, suggest to do this only if you're planning on eating the wraps right
away.
If you are planning to make this as a to-go lunch for work or a pre-made dinner for you,
then don't do that because it's going to soak, the vegetables are already enough to soak
the wrap.
And if you add that extra moisture, then it's going to be really, really soggy.
So only if you're going to eat right away, then you can add that extra moisture.
Otherwise, I would suggest to leave that out.
I really, really enjoyed this wraps.
Sometimes when I'm planning a recipe, I think it's kind of a really, really basic thing
and it's going to be delicious, but not like a wow thing.
But these wraps really surprised me.
So it's a simple recipe, but the taste, the flavors are really great and it is really
a wow kind of recipe, even though I wasn't expecting that.
So I hope you also enjoyed this video and I hope you're going to try these tuna wraps.
