Naval shares his wisdom on how to detect if someone is being honest of dishonest in a short time. He also argues that one should be a good person because high integrity is correlated with self-esteem, and you will attract other good people in your life if you behave well. Thus, to have a good life the key is to have a good ethic system! Warren Buffet expands on this later in the video.

Enjoy!

NAVAL RAVIKANT ------------

Buffet Criteria -- Look for Integrity, Energy, Intelligence.

- Evaluate someone's integrity in a short time:
• See how they treat other people
• It is easy to change one's definition of who his/her friends are. So what someone does to others he/she will, eventually, do to you.
• The people who talk the most about how honest they are, are likely dishonest.

- People with high integrity:
• have an internal moral compass. So, they wouldn't behave unethically or unfairly with anybody.
• In a negotiation, they will give you things "out of the deal" just because it is fair to do. In fact, this is a key ingredient for setting up a long-term relation with the other party. --- This is how you will get compounded benefits!

- Why You should behave morally correct:
• Because deep down we know who we are. You can't hide anything from yourself. Your moral failures will always live in your psyche, and will make you to not respect yourself, which ultimately results in low self-esteem. Finally, if you don't love yourself... Who will?
Thus, you will live a better life by being a good person.

* Also, you will attract people with high integrity...
** "The closer you want to get to me, the better your values have to be" - Naval
** "To deserve a good partner, be a good partner" - Charlie Munger

- Thus... working on your values is long-term selfish, while short-term sacrificing. It is profitable in the long-term.
** "Easy choices, hard life. Hard choices, easy life".
