Kyomai is a dance handed down in Kyoto - the ancient capital of Japan. The Kyomai Inoue school continues to impart this elegant and elegant dance to this day. The women of the Inoue clan have inherited and absorbed influences from Noh or Bunraku puppet theater and Ningyo Joruri to develop their own unique features. Kyomai dance is characterized by delicate dancing, the ability to express the main character's emotions through ethereal expressions and minimalist movements. For more than 200 years, this art form has continued unceasingly in Kyoto, with around 100 Geiko and Maiko performing at the Kagai "flower town" in the Gion Kobu area. Bringing the beauty of Japanese virtue and discipline, Kyomai is still being preserved along with Gion's way of life.
