Find your tranquility in nature at Riverside Cabin #1, a cute, cozy, and fully-equipped cabin located at the base of the majestic Mt. Hood. Riverbend Cabin #1 offers the comfort and privacy of home in the rustic and peaceful atmosphere of a relaxing forest getaway.
The space
Feel right at home in the bright and spacious living space comprising the kitchen and living room. The beautifully outfitted and fully-equipped kitchen contains several modern stainless steel appliances, smooth marble countertops, and wooden cabinetry. The living room includes a full-sized fold-down couch (which can accommodate an additional guest), coffee table, flat-screen TV, and toasty wood-burning fireplace, making it the perfect locale to get comfy with friends and family for fireside meals, games, movies, and more. Your first bundle of firewood is complimentary, and additional bundles for indoor and outdoor fires can be purchased from our local provider and delivered directly to your cabin. You will find a pack-and-play and extra linens in the living room closet.

The comfortable queen bed fits snugly inside the bedroom, making up most of the space, as well as a narrow walkway and storage space. This intimate setting, although snug, provides a clean and comfortable sleeping space further to elevate the lovely charm of the surrounding area.

The bathroom comes equipped with a shower/tub combo as well as a full vanity. All bathroom essentials, such as towels, hair and body products, etc., are provided during your stay.

The picturesque back deck features a relaxing private hot tub, an outdoor chair and table set, and a barbeque grill with propane. Beyond the deck, a personal firepit and outdoor area offer a picturesque setting to roast marshmallows and make fond memories.

Your cozy cabin getaway is centrally located between the pleasant and quaint town of Sandy and Timberline Lodge atop Mt. Hood, located about an hour from downtown Portland and PDX airport. This stellar location gives you convenient access to several beautiful parks and year-round skiing up on the slopes of Timberline. Popular summer activities range from kayaking at Trillium Lake and white water rafting the Deschutes River to horseback riding, mountain biking, and tubing. Winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding are also abundant, as well as snowshoeing and Cosmic tubing. With snow prevalent during the winter, we keep our driveways as clear as possible. Chains for your car are also required for travel during the winter to navigate the mountain roads, but you will not need them to travel to the cabin. Shuttles go up to the mountain ski areas, with the pickup location being just down the road from the property. Scheduled pickups and drop-offs must be researched in advance.

There is parking adjacent to the cabin, with space for two cars and a small trailer. The property also proudly features the fastest WiFi in the area. This makes Riverbend Cabins a perfect destination for guests on work-cations. Pets are also welcome with advance notice and agreement to the pet rules and payment of a pet fee.
