After weeks of speculation, it looks like Manchester United may finally have their man.
They have a broad agreement in place with Inter Milan to sign goalkeeper Andre Unana.
There's still work to be done as the club's discussed the structure of the move. Now,
Unana has made it clear he does want to join United. Personal terms aren't expected to be
an issue. United remain hopeful that Unana will be part of their pre-season tour,
with United departing for America after their game against Lyon on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire is considering the next steps in his future after being
removed as Manchester United captain by Eric Ten Haag.
Maguire said it was extremely disappointing to lose the captaincy at Old Trafford.
West Ham are among the Premier League clubs interested in signing the England centre-back,
with interest also coming from abroad.
Maguire only made eight Premier League starts last season after falling behind Lissandra
Martinez, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof in the pecking order. His contract runs until 2025.
Maguire's replacement as captain won't be announced before they travel to the United
States on a pre-season tour later this week. Bruno Fernandes wore the armband when Maguire
wasn't playing last season, with both players lifting the EFL Cup in February.
