Highlights: Panamá - Qatar | Quarter Finals | 2023 Gold Cup

From deep in the heart of Texas, we welcome you to the first knockout stage game of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2023. It's a rematch of a group stage game played two years ago. It is Panama taking on Qatar. That's last out of play by Ismael Diaz. This will deflect and see Mosqueda throw a paw out and deflect this. Wide and out for a corner. Canasquilla, threaded at Quindaro. It's a wide, there's the cross, rising, header down. Boss right first in the quarterfinals. Early service and the shot is on. That's well out of play by Diaz. Corner. Header snapped above the bar by Bassam Al-Rawi. And Orlando Mosqueda called into service for the first time tonight. Sees Escobar. Escobar saw Diaz angling through. It is Diaz. Diaz! Ismael Diaz puts Panama ahead by two. And angling for their fifth Gold Cup semi-final. Big ball for Diaz. Diaz, he got it all wrong. That would have felt like an assured dagger. Just shy of an hour mark. And he outstretched Zacharia. Still a pulse for Qatar. The ball across that. Touched away. Canasquilla denied. Diaz open net. Two and a half. Three on the night for Panama. Two goals in less than seven minutes for Ismael Diaz. And down to Diaz. Diaz racing through. Diaz! Less than 10 minutes go by. Diaz single-handedly driving Panama into the semi-finals. The cross for Waterman. Falls to Fajardo with a blast. Karams off of El Rawy and out for a corner. The final seconds tick away. And Panama, their fifth semi-final appearance at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
