Russell Westbrook Is a REALLY Cool Dude When He's Not Interviewed in The NBA 😆 | YBL | July 8, 2023

Westbrook is with us here at Peach Jam on the NBA app and Russell we saw you Showing your wisdom to the different players on your team. How proud are you of this group of guys? Extremely. I don't got no voice right now, but I'm extremely proud when they fought but it tells off tonight Connection up to that man. That's a great basketball club. We played against tonight in those guys We've been together for a long time as you know, they're very good and our guys competed That's the best way, you know, you know how to so seems like the house family Westbrook. Those guys can really score He's really really good. I mean you've got a lot of talent on your team UCLA's You know, I try to make sure that we keep kids in our program for start to finish and the houses man They've been amazing forces day one and I'm grateful for them and try to make sure all these kids get to college. So What can you say about what this event means the peach jam? EYVL Mikey the show that they put on here. I mean, it's amazing I think the best part about it man is give the kids an opportunity to showcase their talents I'm a lot of kids go up from all across the world and having a event something like this What I can show out in front of fans in front of the nation in front of coaches is this amazing? It gives kids an opportunity to be able to you know, take care of their family for a long time I asked Leonard Hamilton about this earlier 2006 I was less than 2007. I don't know if you did. I wasn't good enough. I don't want to hear that Sure, I was not good at the time Hey you in the summer basketball scene change since you and I was playing I have my opinion I want to hear you all that has changed a lot. I mean with social media with NIL with Just coaching in general the rules everything is a little bit different I personally don't remember events like this when I was You know growing up and having opportunity you remember all the other tournaments of Vegas and so forth So I think it's opportunity with the ability better have your phone and record a bit of C and so something Globally, there's a big difference Motivated you to come back and give back To be able to create opportunity for kids not just from my neighborhood, but kids all around the world and give them an opportunity to be able to Number one get the school get education and number two that opportunity penny NBA to take care of their family as well Have fun I mentioned to my kids always to have fun With everything around and so much pressure to coaches here a lot of times kids would get to enjoy them to enjoy the game Processing to me even to this day I have you know struggle with trying to figure out enjoying the process because it's so important because just like that like you mentioned 2006-2007 you Didn't save me a lifetime and you don't enjoy the moment. I'm trying to make sure I tell my kids You've overcome all those challenges and put together an amazing career and much more to cover up the Westbrook. Thank you. Thank you for your time Russell Westbrook at Peach Jam here on the NBA
