"Never Have I Ever" star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan reflects on end of hit show

Canadian actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, known for her leading role as Devi Vishwakumar in the hit Netflix show "Never Have I Ever," reflected on the role the show has played in her life following its final season.
Ramakrishnan joined host Carolyn MacKenzie in the studio on Friday.
The Mississauga-born actress said she's "very proud" of the series, adding that the fact that she receives praise from people of all ages is a "testament to the writing team."
"It's a show that's rooted in stories of the heart, that are so human, and that is why so many people — not just young adults— can relate to (it) and I think that's beautiful," she said.
Ramakrishnan also spoke about the pride she felt being able to showcase her own culture in the final season.
