COMMENT from my friend Michelina Palmer:
Gisela, I was so enthralled by the touching video series of your parents' life. Your vivid storytelling and your parents' ability to recall the finest of details of their life was truly incredible.
I watched the first 2 so far and WOW!! You really have done so well to honor their sacrifice and legacy and dedication & love for one another. What you captured is a significant piece of history and culture that will now live on to teach the future generations.
I cried a lot while listening. It’s a blessing to the world retelling your parents' life during an era that many people today haven’t really learned about that well or at all!
I can’t say enough how impactful and touching it will be for anyone who comes across your videos, and all the values and lessons within it.
I don’t think the younger generations could even fathom the amount of adversity, and what they had to overcome, and how hard life was during those times.
What a raw glimpse into better understanding how the people thought with the political ideologies at the time. And to learn how the people were earnestly just trying to do what they truly believed was good and right. They didn’t know better--is what I took from it--or at least not at first. The people were brainwashed to follow along, believing it was good and the right thing to do.
