Alcaraz & Rune Make Queen's Debut; Murray, Fritz & Dimitrov Feature | Queen's 2023 Highlights Day 2

Oh, no way. What a fantastic effort from the Frenchman. This time he pounces. Well, have we got a shock on our hands here? Oh, it's good. At least one special shot from this man. Wraps up the set. Back to. Oh, that's absolutely brilliant. Net coverage and dangerous game, isn't it? Incredible from Alcaraz. Down, but not out. The top seed, Carlos Alcaraz, survives. It was a tough workout. On his debut at this tournament, he's off to a winning start. But goodness me, he had to fight hard. Start, obviously. Has to be better than that to get over the six foot six frame of Maxime Cressy. The blocks return again, just getting the ball back in play and watching his opponent make another error. Oh, terrific. Such great. Well, there it is. Bruno strikes back, but he didn't really have to work too hard for that. Well, cut off. Bruno takes the first set on debut. It's too good, isn't it? Bruno really sensing this may be the opportunity. Lovely touch. Really open the face of the racket. Oh, it's wondrous. Oh, wicked. Now, is that better than the forehand? It's all ended on a double fault and it kind of sums up the day for Maxime Cressy. But all credit to Holger Rune. Well, as if we needed reminding. There's it's a wide and there is the first breakthrough. Oh, it's a clean one. It has to be really good to get through the well played. It's well long. That's a little bit of a disintegration, really, of the Murray game. How good was that return putting Murray on the back foot? And that is a comprehensive. He's too quick for that. It's just relentless, isn't it? It's long and it is all over and it's Australia's day. Timon or a real step up in class from the Challenger Tour as Murray would. Oh, good effort. Not quite the full dive. Oh, very nice. Not just about the power. That will do it for the first set for Taylor Fritz. Youngsters and their relationship with grass. Oh, well done. That was a bullet into Fritz's body. Yeah, he's made that. Fritz is down. Not a good effort. Game, Fritz. Game. Taylor Fritz eases through late in the day. Breaking each set. Some good stuff produced by both to entertain. Game, Dimitrov. Game. Dimitrov. Two sets to go. Six, two, six, four.
