Another last minute (right before sunset) crazy waterfall adventure looking for the elusive Newton Canyon Falls in Malibu. This was one of those out of nowhere, awesome adventures! Stick around till the end of this video to see why I felt SO jacked and alive after this one!
All right, I am in Malibu again. Newton Canyon Falls. I'm in Newton Canyon
to keep up with my theme of exploring waterfalls right before sunset in Malibu. That is where
we're at. Sunset's in about an hour and a half. It's a five-mile round-trip hike. I did bring my
headlamp this time, but I'm going to try to make it out and down to the coast to catch the sunset
on the beach in Malibu. Newton Canyon Falls is a very elusive waterfall. It's seasonal.
I'm not sure if it's still flowing because it hasn't rained in about a week as far as I know,
so hopefully it's still flowing. Newton Canyon Falls is going to be an awesome hike.
So far, there's some lovely shade on this hike. It's very fragrant. I can smell the springtime
wildflowers blooming. I don't know if we'll see a lot of them on this hike, but it smells like
springtime. Very bright and green and lots of shade, at least in this very beginning part of it.
Now, I read that there's multiple falls on this hike. I'm not sure if that's true,
but I definitely haven't gone two and a half miles yet, and already we're at the first
fall, so there's probably multiple. The question is, how far do I want to go before it gets dark?
There is poison oak up in this beach, so I got to be diligent. I definitely don't want to be
walking through that in the dark. I do not want the old dark poison oak headlamp trek,
but if it happens, it happens, but hopefully not. Fingers crossed. Looks like I'm gonna have to
climb down. Absolutely beautiful here. Hopefully, I find a trail because I don't want to climb back
up that in the dark. I don't know if my headlamp's waterproof.
The sunset is in about five minutes. I haven't seen the trail back up yet, so
I might have fucked up, and I might have to climb that waterfall in the dark. I'm not worried.
Again, if you're watching this video, everything worked out okay. Man, this place is awesome. I
say that every time. Newton Canyon Falls, you saw how many waterfalls there were. There were two
really big ones, but the whole canyon is full of waterfalls. Definitely got to come back here.
I got to scrub down. I might have poison oak. I think I probably touched it. I got to get moving
because I don't want to rub into some poison oak in the dark. Thanks for watching. If you

Do not go gentle into that good night. Old age should burn and rave at close of day.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end, no dark is right.
Because their words had forked no lightning, they do not go gentle into that. Good men,
the last wave by, crying how bright, their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
and learned too late they grieved it on its way, do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men near death who see with blinding sight, blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on the sad height,
curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Infamous.
