We start with some major transfer news and well it's all centred around one club.
Very, very busy day at Chelsea in terms of outgoings.
Michael Bridger, our reporter, is back with me on set.
And so breaking news that I mentioned at the top of the hour involving Mason Mount.
Fill us in.
Firstly, David, we're about to talk about eight Chelsea players potentially leaving
and one left, one pretty much gone.
It's quite extraordinary.
And what day are we?
We're on June 21st.
It is actually unbelievable.
But yes, let's start with the breaking news from the last hour.
And Chelsea have rejected a second bid from Manchester United for midfielder Mason Mount.
Now, the deal is understood to be worth £50 million, £45 million guaranteed,
plus £5 million in performance-related add-ons.
Now, United, they clearly want this player, but they have a valuation in mind.
And our understanding is they're unlikely to go beyond that.
So negotiations are continuing.
I think the hope for them is that the player wants to make the move,
wants to have a new challenge as well.
So very much a wait and see on this one, but a big development.
Yeah, that is a big development.
And what about another player who's won silverware at Stamford Bridge?
That's Mateo Kovacic.
He's definitely leaving, isn't he?
Yeah, I mean, you get the impression that Chelsea don't want to lose Mason Mount.
This is certainly a player that Chelsea did not want to lose, Mateo Kovacic.
Now, the fee understood to be worth around £30 million here,
£25 million guaranteed, plus £5 million in performance-related add-ons.
And we understand a formal announcement is expected soon.
But whereas Mason Mount, this could go on for quite some time,
this looks to be very, very close.
And with Kovacic, this is a player that Manchester City have liked for some time.
Last few weeks, what a great few weeks they've had
with winning the Premier League, the FA Cup, then the Champions League.
But like all successful clubs, like all well-run clubs,
you're always thinking ahead.
And this is someone Pep Guardiola's wanted for some time.
And it looks like they're very close to getting it.
Yeah, strengthening when you're already strong, isn't it?
To try and keep that domination going.
And when you think about, I suppose, the big titles that Chelsea have won,
there's always one name that comes to mind in terms of scoring big goals.
And that's Kai Havert.
So what's the latest on him, Mark?
Yeah, the man that scored the goal to win them the Champions League.
I'm sure he'll go on very good terms if it happens.
Our colleagues in Germany are suggesting that Havert and Chelsea
to Arsenal is very close.
Now, we are discussing that.
We are talking to the relevant people about that to get confirmation from our side.
But our colleagues are suggesting it's around 75 to 80 million euros,
with bonuses included.
No talk of a medical just yet.
But we know Mikel Arteta.
We know the business they did last season.
Arsenal, when signing Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko early,
Mikel Arteta and Edu want to get business done as soon as possible.
That's not always possible.
We know that.
But they're working very hard.
Bit of a surprise, this one, when we got this information last week, Kai Havert.
But it looks like a deal maybe all parties are keen on doing.
And we understand the player wants to move to Arsenal.
And clearly, Mikel Arteta, he sees something in him
that will make him a real asset for Arsenal in terms of the Premier League
and Champions League campaign next year.
Yeah, so we're looking at maybe 70 for Havert.
Around 50 at the moment is what United are offering for Mount.
30 for Coventry, that's about £150 million recouped by Chelsea
if all of those go through as they are.
And selling to Premier League rivals, which is fascinating as well.
However, there are a lot of players who seem to be heading to Saudi Arabia, aren't they?
Yeah, strap yourselves in because we are not done in terms of Chelsea outcomes.
But one player who has definitely said his goodbyes is N'Golo Kante.
Arguably one of the most popular players in the Premier League, David, would you say?
Yeah, 100%.
Yeah, I mean, he's completed his move from Chelsea to El Ididad.
He signed a three-year contract.
He leaves Chelsea winning.
Look at the Premier League there.
Two Premier League titles in the end for him.
But he leaves on very good terms there.
Other Chelsea players potentially joining him in Saudi Arabia.
One is Hakim Ziyech.
We understand that Al Nasir are close to an agreement there.
Now, remember, Ziyech is someone we talked about in transfer shows quite some time in January.
Looked like he might be going to PSG.
That didn't happen.
We know he was very unhappy about that.
But it looks like he's going to Saudi Arabia now.
An interesting one here, Khalidou Koulibaly.
Big money signing from Napoli to replace Antonio Rudiger.
Hasn't quite worked out.
He is in talks to join Al-Halal.
So more on that as we get it.
That would be another big chunk of the wage bill off for Chelsea.
Now, one player who might be tempted for Saudi Arabia,
maybe tempted by Premier League interest and Bundesliga interest,
is Callum Hudson-Odoi.
His representatives are expected to speak to Chelsea
in the next week or so to discuss his future.
I think he's a player we mention on Sky Sports News
pretty much every summer and every January.
As I say, there's interest not just from Saudi Arabia there, though.
The Premier League and Bundesliga.
And with very good reason.
You know, he's a player with huge potential
and maybe could do with a move potentially.
We'll wait and see on that one.
Another player potentially moving to Saudi Arabia is Edouard Mendy.
A deal to Al-Halal is close.
Sorry, a total agreement between all parties, we believe.
Now, what's interesting here, it looks like Mircea Pochettino
has decided that Kepa is his number one.
Mendy will leave and Chelsea will potentially
look for a replacement goalkeeper.
And I know, knowing Chelsea,
they won't want to talk about a number two coming in.
It's basically battling with Kepa for a number one spot.
Wow, so much going on and all at the one club right now.
Michael, thank you for that update.
And I'm sure there'll be plenty more to come.
Stay with us.
