Sunset in Campsies - Scotland, with piano impro near Lugano - Switzerland

After a walk at the beginning of Highlands to film the sunset, why not to put some simple improvisation in the background? I've speeded up some parts of the video to get it moving, and lowered the sound almost to zero, as it was very windy (and cold), even though it was the end of May 2023. I've kept some sounds, when the wind has calmed down, and you could hear skylarks (Alauda arvensis) in the background too. The piano is just couple of chords in repetition, mainly A major and F major, going into A minor to F major towards the end, and some 'off the scale' and accidental notes as (un)expected. I am not a pianist but I do enjoy to play them, even if out of tune a little bit. Speaking of which, one thing on my potential 'to do' list is to learn how to tune pianos. Luckily I know of a friend who does it, so perhaps it's a time to give him a call and arrange a catch up. In the end, Bazil is a fellow musician so we might do a song together and stick it up here one day.

OK, I better go and 'make' some time today to do another impro for another video as it is my last day in Switzerland where I am on my holiday, where sister of a friend I helped care for, lives and kindly invited me to come over and do nothing, just relax. This concept was first hard to imagine, to do nothing. Actually, she organized me a guitar too so I could practice, how nice!

And with more time on my hands and relaxed surroundings, I am getting more chilled and reflect on what to do, what NOT to do and reorganize my thoughts for coming back to UK, to summer, where the balance between work and leisure shall be aimed for. Ok, it's time to pick up some fresh lamponi - raspberries from the garden and have a local seasonal breaky, mixed with Greek yoghurt and soaked Qia seeds plus a home made cake, what a treat!
