In early September, my family and I embarked on a 10-day canoe camping trip down Ontario's French River. Family fun for everyone and a life off the grid were the plans for this canoe trip on the French River, but with two kids in tow, we've cut back on our work. Hiking with kids and family camping with kids can be tiring and even scary at times because you want to make sure the kids stay safe. At the same time, you really make some incredible memories and all the work and planning is worth it.
