Hitting with the DEMARINI CF | BBCOR Baseball Bat Review

What up, what up? Will here with the Baseball Bat Bros. I'm not going to lie folks, the emergence of the Rawlings Icon as the number one overall BB Corps bat kind of has me shook when it comes to these two-piece composites. So we are going to give the DiMarini CF a fresh review. We haven't reviewed this bat in a long time because it's just kind of another repaint of a long line of DiMarini CF bats. But guys, this thing's more expensive than the goods. At $450, kind of pushed as that, you know, flagship two-piece composite. So we're going to see if this is legit. We're going to see if it's icon territory, like at all, and see where this thing stacks up in our BB Corps rankings. Let's get it. All right, folks out here at George Fox University today, we got the Rap Soto for Exit Velo and we got the Collegiate Baseballs today. Finally busting these out, the old juiced college balls, going for a little 106, 107 action. Name? Crew Schoolcraft. High school? Sunset. Travel ball team? USA Prime National. Favorite college baseball team? CBD. Best food? Ribs. I make my own, so. What? Yeah. I can't even cook. All right, fishing PB? Three and a half pounds, small mouth. All right, here's a closer look. Honestly, pretty clean looking. Kind of looks like that 2020, the goods. I can see that. That's what they were going for. We've got a good, I'd say one to 200 swings. We've had this for a while now. Cruz will be comparing it to the Voodoo one, which is his gamer. And I'm kind of bullying it. I'm fire. We got the 33. It sounds good. 94.9. It sounds like really good. Hey, this is one of the best sounding bats. 99.7. Yeah, dude, I got to give it credit. This is like really easy to put the barrel on the ball. 97.8. Did you? 97.6. That's tattooed. This feels really good. 97.6. Velos are kind of low. I guess we should probably kind of get at least one barrel with this to sort of set a baseline of where we should be at. 96.3. Oh, that's hands. What a bat. 92.8. That's like not even a very hard swing. 103. What? Well, that's what we're working with. How's that feel if you miss it a little bit? It feels pretty good. I mean, so it doesn't ring out? No. I feel like the barrel is just way lower on this bat. Yeah, that sounds delightful. It sounds really good, but I feel like it also sounds a little soft. It's kind of weird because you have to hit it down towards the hands, so it almost doesn't really let you completely throw the barrel. Just to kind of show what we're talking about here, this is Cruz's home run that he hit a few swings back. That ball's off the hands, man. Just like with the CF and the Meta, the way they're balanced, those bats really require you to kind of change your contact point. 98. Dude, honestly, this is better than I thought it would be. I think the icon is going to smash it, but I'm not hating swinging this. 97.7. I think I got it hands a little bit. Honestly, really impressing me with the CF. That was 95, but your barreling ball is really low. How far did that go? That said that was 360. Hitting hard grounders. 100.0. That's off the end. You feel like that's perfect with the Voodoo? And Alice. Really? Yeah. So, okay, that's a little bit towards the end. That's where this bat is not good. I'm telling you, the sweet spot ends like right here. It's crazy. 96.8. Yeah, that's slow. 96.96. 90. So it's just kind of a contact point. Yeah. Let's get a couple good barrels with the icon. Hands a little bit. 101 flat. I think that sounds even better. College baseballs are so juiced, dude. 107.3. That's gone, I think, dude. Oh, goodness. 103.4. 418. All right. The people's bat. The Voodoo one. So this is your gamer? Yeah, but just, yeah. Well, I got the red one's my gamer. 96.3. You just broke 100. Oh, big. 101.2. Off the shed. Come on. 98.9. Man, that's angry, bro. 99.6. All right. CF. Oh, that's tattooed, dude. Tattooed. 101 flat. If you're like an eighth grader swinging BB core for the very first time, I could see it, but I honestly think this takes away quite a bit of velo, man. Okay. As far as just the ease of getting the barrel on the ball, dude, gotta tip your cap. It's a good extreme end contact hitting bat. Crunched. 104. All right. Icon. Finish him. It feels like there's as much barrel on this. Jam shot. 104.9. Kind of low. Jeez. 102.9. Got it. I like this bat a lot. 104.4. All right. Then one with the voodoo one. All right. End it with your red gamer voodoo one. Okay. This will be fun. Look how fricking tired up this thing is. The knob's coming loose on it. Oh no. It's the beginning of the end. 101.5. I do like that sound though. This is so light. This is as light as every bit as light as the CF. I'm sorry, CF. I love you, but this bat is four. Good singles bat. Our viewers are not going to like this. Oh no. Rip. All right, Cruz. So little better velos with the voodoo one. Honestly, you did really good with CF. At the end of the day, what are you taking? What's kind of your take on the two bats? I'm taking this one. I feel like the barrel is more towards the end where I usually hit it. I feel like this one, it has pretty good pop from here to here, but not as much up from here to here. So it impressed me for how low the jam, you can still put them all out. But for this one, I feel like the barrel was just right here. I just, I love it. Voodoo one all day. Yeah. So a good transition bat from drop five to drop three, but for like an advanced high school hitter, long-term, probably not something we're really going to endorse here, especially at the $450 price point.
