Well the game was first started seven or five so had some rain tarp was on but we are ready right now for game two of this three game set. Nester Cortez is getting ready he'll throw the first pitch in this one. The official delay one hour and thirty six minutes. I feel like somebody just turned the lights on in the closet. I mean it was kind of dreary and dark all of a sudden now the bright lights are out. Game has started and Mullins is down on strikes. Rushman has played 13 games in his very young career against the Yankees 18 for forty six that's three ninety one. Fly ball right center field and deep giving Chase is Bader on the run and he makes the play. Popped up Rizzo is there and found territory and Cortez retires the Orioles in order Baltimore nothing the Yankees coming about Tyler Wells. Yeah look at the numbers I mean superlative on the lowest whips in baseball towards the Yankee leadoff hitter Wells pitches and it's put in the air left field pretty deep way back is Austin Hayes on the warning track and he will make the catch. This is the batter that Tyler Wells has faced the most in his career and judge has had a lot of success including a home run three to judge hits it high on the infield left side. In comes Mattel the shortstop will make a two handed catch Anthony Rizzo batting or two and Wells strikes out Rizzo ninety four and an impressive first inning for Tyler Wells. Here's Harrison Bader a nice night last night swing and a miss got it right by him to. You see Wells and I mean that's a four seam fastball at ninety three but location set up. Great pick off and the Yankees get Mateo sleeping. But it's all one to Volpe in the bottom of the 10th Volpe hits is on the ground left side diving stop by Ortiz stands up fires got him Joey Ortiz the rookie at third base tonight takes a base hit away from another rookie in Anthony Volpe. What a play. You would never know that it's the second start. Is it third base. Here's kind of Falefa driven in the center field going back Mullins still back on the track at the wall the base of the wall. Around second. He's a triple for Ikea. And with one out really good base running you get a good read this ball gets over Mullins head and again it's it's how you get out of the box and kind of Falefa knows he doesn't have the type of power to go dead center field. But once this ball bounces off the center field wall he gets a good read. Sia a two run home run for kind of Falefa and the Yankees lead four to one put Ike up in the outfield and he's starting to find his power stroke. Here's Gleyber Torres he homered his last time up in the third that was driven to left field and deep. Is that going to stay fair. That ball is gone for Torres and it's five one Yankees. I don't know if you can get porch to left field and you stadium but you got another home run call a solo homer from Ryan Melcastle Ortiz takes a called strike three to the top of the order and Cedric Mullins swing and a miss Mullins down on strikes. It's kind of par for the course we went over how he has controlled lefties. McCann scores the tail burning behind him and he will score easily. And the Orioles have resurrected this game. Mountcastle the ninth Oriole to back Mountcastle broken back looper into right field judge starts in and he makes the catch Taggett third is Henderson Henderson played the play gunner safe one and one to Santander and he hits his in the center field that's down for a base hit. Watchman being sent in from third the thrower from Bader is not in time and the Orioles score again and hang the second base is Santander and he is safe at second and a hush over Yankee Stadium. Aaron Judge works a two out walk and here comes Anthony Rizzo swing and a miss. And that is one stinging loss for the New York Yankees.
