Barcelona vs. Real Valladolid | LaLiga Highlights | ESPN FC

And his second coach of the season, Paolo Pesellano, he's trying to create the great escape. And Aguado flying the ball wide, looking for... ...Machis. Machis puts it in. What a start for Bayern Munich! Front foot football pays off. There's the build-up play. Nicely working the ball. Aguado with the big switcher plays onside. Christensen's trying to get back into a good position. Carl Larry's trying to run in behind him. He's got to go for it, but he heads it into his own net. It's all down to the brilliant cross. No chance for Testegen. He's just beaten by a bit of pace. What a start for Valladolid. A rather spectacular own goal from Andreas Christensen, who has been a model of consistency. Sanchez. An ambitious football this by Valladolid. That was an excellent save by Testegen. It needed to be. It was a strong shot from... ...Fullback. Sanchez isn't particularly happy with Larry. He wanted to play the little one-two, driving forward the centre-back. There's Rafinha. The goalkeeper can be beaten at the near post. First time that William Masip has been tested. From Rafinha, tries to deceive the goalkeeper by going in at the near post. Looking to bend it into the far corner. With the bottom hand. Testegen has to come out of his area. He doesn't deal with it very well. And the referee right on top of the situation. Cooley points to the penalty spot. Plata taken down. And Barcelona can't dispute that. And Valladolid to go up is Larry. He's taken a very short run-up. Testegen, who's playing mind games with him. And Larry. 2-0. We have a shock on the cards. Is this the great escape from relegation threatened by the league? They're humbling the champions. A fraction of contact. Plata felt it, went down easily. Once he'd given the penalty, the VAR wasn't going to change it. Torre flies it in. Spectacular, but unsuccessful. From Rafinha. Good pass from Torre. Diagonal ball over the top. Torre. A little one-two. Torre cuts it across the face of goal. Rafinha has a fine save. From Masip. Really good save. It's a nice height for him. Torre has been quite useful at times down this left-hand side. He sets up Rafinha when it comes back to him here. As you see, it's a nice height for the goalkeeper. Just within reach as well, but he anticipates and gets two good hands on it. Spun in towards Christensen. Oh, that's a brilliant save. It could have been another own goal. Masip. That was also a clear header, wasn't it? He's got a good hand to it, or a good arm to it. Instinctive. Pax defending via the lead. De Jong teases the ball into the area. They're getting warmer, Barcelona. The space of the last couple of minutes. There's just a ball played into the box. Marcos Alonso does well to set up Lewandowski. We just hear the frustration of the crowd. They want, via the lead, to go and press the ball higher up the field. Garcia, what a stretch for De Jong. Gets some hopes. Rafinha's in there. Oh, the goalkeeper, a little uncertain. There's that pass again. Rafinha. Easy save for Masip. And the Brazilian skies it. It's an off night for Barcelona. Some of Barcelona's best work tonight has been from the corner routines. Another opportunity. This time on the head of Cesare Roberto. Finally, it's full back. Ball is headlong. It gave Barcelona quite a little threat at the back. Larrin. Waits for support to arrive, and it was Zaguaro. He tried to be a little bit too precise with his shot. Lewandowski is screaming for the ball in the centre, but he made the wrong pass. It's a dreadful pass. Easily cut out by Escudero. Great ball through. Barcelona again caught flat at the back. Larrin passes it on. Will it be a third? Yes, it will. What a night this is. On a plate for Plata. Well, this is a tight call. I think this is a tight call, but he might just be offside. It's a tight one. It could be Garcia that's keeping him on on this near side of the field. I don't think it's quite as obvious as it seems. Absolutely. And there's a really good pass from Larrin as well to find Plata. Good finishing at the near post. He got himself back from an offside position. It looked as though he was onside to make the next forward run. And a goal. Goal game at 3-0. Finally, this is the biggest shot of the season in La Liga. It's made way. That was all made while they were celebrating the goal. They're looking for a fourth here. Barcelona have gone to pieces. Post is hit by Lucas Rosa. Clever bit of play. There's nothing on there, is there? Look at that run from deep. Hasn't gone with him. Just lifts it over him. It's the substitute. Is everything right? Rosa. He thought he scored here. And it just seems to bend away. It's unclaimed to fame when they're scoring it against Barcelona. Escudero. Nobody near him. Some thinking time for Escudero. Uncertain goalkeeper in a game by Peñu. Escudero. Brilliant ball. Great ball. Kike wanted to head it. He was fighting his own battle, wasn't he? And Blano. Both fighting for it. If he leaves it, Kike scores. It's an easy head up. Plata could quite get him. Moved over to the left-hand side. He's just gone into the middle at the moment. That's where he scored his goal from. This left-hand side. Lewandowski is away. Lewandowski rounds the goalkeeper. Can he add to his tally? Well, it's a consolation goal for Barcelona. And it's one that takes Lewandowski a little bit closer to claiming the golden boot, the Pachinchi in Spanish football. Shanky de Jong. Takes his time. Has a look around. And then plays a really good ball. Once they were caught square, the two centre-backs still had a lot to do. Once he'd gone past the goalkeeper, Massi. Very good finish. Under extreme pressure with two players racing back towards the line. It's a big enough touch to take it beyond the goalkeeper, particularly with the second one. Paving his defence. Torres. Just doesn't have that instinct, that killer touch in front of goal, does he?
