Hi, we're Jordana and Grant from Shot in the Dark Travel.
Come join us on our amazing adventures around Southeast Asia.
Check out what we get up to this time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
We'll be going up to the Petronas Towers and eating and drinking at loads of different
fantastic rooftop restaurants and bars. So we've come to the Petronas Towers.
We're currently halfway up on floor 41 at the bridge between the two towers.
I think in total it was 80 ringgit each, so not too bad.
Views are pretty good from here, so looking forward to getting up to the top.
So we're now on the observation deck of one of the Petronas Towers,
just looking out at the other one and also a new building here which is still being built,
but it's going to be the second tallest, well it's currently the second tallest building in
the world and then KL Tower just to the right. The views up here are absolutely amazing.
There's a bit of glare from the window, so hopefully you can see.
After looking out at the amazing views at the Petronas Towers,
we popped back to our hotel to get dressed for the evening. Our first stop was Fuego.
So we've just arrived at Fuego, which is a restaurant, bar, lounge, they call themselves,
at the top of Troika. So the Troika, I'd definitely recommend it. So there's like
six different restaurants where we are and I think we've picked the best one.
We walked through some of the other ones, I think the views here are the best.
So we've not had any food yet, so it might be terrible, but it looks good and the views are
incredible. I think this might be the best views we've got so far in Kuala Lumpur because we're a
little bit out of the city centre, not out of the city centre, but further away from all the best
buildings so you can see them properly. So we can see one of the Petronas Towers,
the KL Tower with the revolving one and then the new one, which I've got what it's called,
I also can't remember the name, the one that is now the second tallest building in the world,
we can also see. So it's going to be really cool when the sun goes down and all the lights come
up because we'll just be able to see all the towers lighting up, so it's going to be really
nice. So we've come at six, so the logic was, I think we've got the table six till eight and
then we'll get to see it at daytime, sunsets seven and a half, sevenish, so then hopefully
we can get to see when all the lights are coming on as well, just after sundown, so should be good.
All the food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails were out of this world.
We would definitely recommend eating here or just coming for a drink.
So we found a bar with a really cool view, but to get in they're making us do
rapid covid tests, so then they've sat us outside in the foyer and we have to do our
rapid covid test before we can get in, which I've never done this before. I don't even know how to
We both really liked Chancat Avenue in Bucketbintang. It was a really busy road with cool
vibes and tons of bars. The bars generally stay open until about two or three a.m, so this was
usually where we headed at the end of the night. The next day we mainly worked and relaxed around
our hotel, then we headed out to one of our favourite restaurants. Great hotel, great views,
but what on earth are these bar snacks? Half a Bombay mix and half a midget gem all in the
same bowl. What are they playing at? We absolutely love Naboo and occasionally we go to the one in
London when we're celebrating. The food is always spectacular, especially the sushi.
Although we're recommending it, it's not for every budget as it is pretty pricey.
What have you got there Jordana? So I've got a Wagyu beef dumpling and it looks really good
and I think I'd be most excited about this, but yeah it looks really tasty.
Right, well have a bite, let us know what you think. See if it lives up to expectations.
That's how we get them. Is it good?
Shake it.
Very good, nice and juicy. Ever so classy my husband.
How thick is that shrimp? I've never seen anything like it.
Here's a look at some of the prices to give you an idea of how expensive it is.
Our total bill, including food and plenty of alcohol, came to 910 ringgits.
