In the last video, I explained the process of making a Japanese-style satsuma-yaki. There are two types of satsuma-yaki. White satsuma and black satsuma. These two types of satsuma-yaki are different in the way they are baked, the clay, and the glaze. The temperature of the satsuma-yaki changes depending on the season and the temperature of the clay. So you can't use a thermometer. The most important process is to look at the color, determine the temperature, and see if the satsuma-yaki is baked. The temperature of the satsuma-yaki may not be a big deal, but the temperature inside the kiln is very high. I dare to make cracks. This crack is the characteristic of white satsuma-yaki. The cracks called kanyu in white satsuma-yaki continue for decades. It means that the baked goods have grown. I hope you will take care of it.
