Welcome to Find The Perfect Place, your new destination for amazing home tours. I'm Zesia
and behind the camera is Bronson. Hey guys. Today we're here in the beautiful Sunshine Coast up in
the hinterland at The Refuge. We're here touring three amazing stays. Today we are touring the
Valley View Cabin. This is a one bed, one bath luxury retreat right here at The Refuge. The
is an eco retreat and 100% off-grid. Come with us as we show you around today's perfect place.
The first feature you notice as you arrive at The Valley View Cabin is the gorgeous staircase
leading up to this front door. You'll notice the whole exterior is wooden and it looks absolutely
divine in the Queensland landscape. It's been on your bucket list for a while to film a home like
this, isn't it Bronson? Oh it sure has and we're finally here so I'm so excited. So gorgeous,
it's absolutely divine. We can't wait to show you its buddy which is the bush view. Bronson
will show you the secondary cabin later on but pop on inside here, let's take a look.
As soon as you walk into The Valley View Cabin you can instantly see where it gets its name. The view
out the floor to ceiling windows is absolutely breathtaking. Now we haven't mentioned it as of
yet but The Refuge is actually an adults only stay so this is perfect just for two. The one
bedroom we'll show you very shortly but we'll start right here in the open plan living area.
You've got everything that you need at your fingertips for a lovely relaxing weekend away.
On my right there is the lounge room and a smart tv, a nice corner couch to sit back and relax
and one of my favorite features of this space is the orange chairs. These sure do
make a statement and they're ever so comfy to sit back and relax.
Now right in front of me this opens into the dining area. You've got a five-seater circular
dining table with the gorgeous orange chairs. I love how that ties on through. Found on the
dining table are the pallets to feed the animals. Now this is alpaca and goat pallets. They are so
super friendly. I've had the pleasure of spending time with them on property already. Not only are
there alpacas and goats there's also a couple of pet pigs which actually sit for food which is a
really really cool trick. There's also chickens and ducks and they do leave farm fresh eggs in
the fridge as well. And that leads us in to the kitchen. There are a few features here in the
kitchen that we have to point out because they're little touches we've never seen before. The first
being the cupboards right behind us here virtually have invisible handles. The way in which you open
these is actually knee to push and that keeps the fingerprints from building up on front of the
doors which is a super handy feature. You can see here that this Airbnb is well supplied with all of
the basics. This entire cupboard here comes fully stocked so you just cannot go wrong with that.
The rest of the kitchen is very functional. You've got an induction stove, an oven which also doubles
as a microwave which is very swanky and of course the hosts have included an espresso machine so
you can get your caffeine fix. I love the bench tops as well. The white with the slight touch of
grey through the stone is stunning and there's even the four barstools along the front if you
did want to brunch or lunch that's the perfect place to sit and eat. Now through into this
doorway to the side here that is the primary bedroom and we cannot wait to show you a very
special feature in that space. This large primary bedroom is absolutely stunning and I must say the
mattress is to die for. It's one of those ones where you just sink in and it's all cozy and
comfy and the bed itself is so incredibly unique. It's the most unique I think we have ever seen.
It's got that touch of comfort with the fabric finish and that gorgeous grey tone and even the
side tables are super unique and just add the character to the space. Now behind me over here
is the walk-in wardrobe. There is so much space to store your belongings and hidden at the end of
that wardrobe is a full-length mirror which Bronson and I always love to see.
In the far corner there's a gorgeous rocking chair, super modern in style. When I first arrived I
actually didn't realize it was a rocking chair because it is so modern looking. It wasn't until
later in the evening that I realized it had that rocking feature. It's the perfect place to grab a
book and unwind of an afternoon and it overlooks that gorgeous valley. Now we're going to move on
through into the ensuite and I think it may have already caught your eye how gorgeous is this
freestanding tub. It overlooks the beautiful bushland here at the refuge and undoubtedly
is truly the perfect place to unwind. Also supplied by the hosts is a gorgeous little jar of salt so
you can have a salt bath and then this little feature here is something that I have not seen
in years and it is so nostalgic for me. My mum always used to have these next to the bath when
I was young and I swear I have not seen bath pearls for so many years. That was a nice little
surprise on arrival because it just took me right back to my childhood. Now over in the far corner
there is a freestanding shower. I love the stonework all throughout and you also are supplied
with shampoo, conditioner and soap so you don't need to pack that which is awesome. I just love
how the whole entire space is the one color of the stone and then you've got a vanity and hidden
behind the wall is the toilets. Now I should briefly mention as well this isn't the only vanity
and toilet on property. There is a sneaky cheeky hidden one as you walk in so you've got the luxury
of two powder rooms. Another modern touch of the cabin is the automated blinds. At the touch of a
button you can put them up or down whichever you choose. That is such a swanky feature. How cool?
Super cool.
The final area of the valley view cabin is the balcony. You have a barbecue so you can have a
grill while you're here and there is a couple of chairs to sit back and relax and enjoy a drink of
an afternoon. Now Bronson has the bush view cabin to show you and it's just as stunning
as this one. You can't miss it. Let's head on down there now.
Welcome to the bush view cabin. So basically everything you see in here
is pretty much the same as the previous cabin except layout and size.
Okay so we have a nice lounge area over here with the same couch and a massive tv which you likely
won't spend too much time watching during your stay as you have that incredible bush view right
outside. Hence the name bush view cabin. Again the balcony area has a barbecue and chairs to relax on.
Coming back inside there is a dining table right next to the full kitchen which houses
everything you're going to need alongside a much needed coffee machine. Now emphasize
on the coffee machine because that is what I require during most of my stays in fact my normal
life every day. Right through here we've got the same super unique bed we saw in valley view cabin
and a large walk-in wardrobe. Over to the far corner we have that beautiful bathtub overlooking
the great outdoors. I love how that is placed. The hosts have done a nice job making this one
a bit different while staying consistent with the valley view cabin theme. We have the double basins
so plenty of space to share all of this with that significant other you may be enjoying this day with
but if not well the more room for you.
So
that is all we have to show you in today's episode featuring both valley view
and bush view cabins. In the next episode we're going to be showing you guys the main residence
which literally has the most spectacular view you could ever imagine. So keep an eye out for
that one. We have to say a huge thank you to the host at the refuge for inviting us here to stay
experience and share this day with all of you and we look forward to seeing you guys in our next
perfect place.
