Can You Survive A Nuclear Winter (And Other Nuclear Stories)
What do you have to do if there is a nuclear winter? Do you know how to prepare if an atomic fallout leads to a nuclear winter?
The earth goes through periodic cooling periods known as Ice Ages, with the last Ice Age ending tens of thousands of years ago. Today we are resting comfortably in the middle of a mild climate, which means moderate winters in most places worldwide and year-long sunshine in California. But today, we're also capable of changing the environment artificially and are already doing so via the uncontrolled release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, warming the planet. But with thousands of nuclear weapons worldwide primed to detonate, that warming trend could quickly reverse and send us straight into an artificial ice age. Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Infographics Show- today, we're asking: how can we survive a nuclear winter?
