Andy Murray vs Andrea Vavassori Dramatic Match Highlights | Madrid 2023

You know that Murray is going to run everything down but it all began with a fantastic return from Andrea Vavasori. Takes it at the first opportunity, a remarkable set from the Italian qualifier but that will give him some encouragement, some confidence. There it is again, the slice return followed by the heavy forehand of Vavasori. Is this the beginning of a Andy Murray? Clever finish and for the second straight time he read exactly the way the Italian was going, read him like a book. He keeps trying the drop shot and it hasn't. Well played. That's incredible, that's absolutely incredible. It's another out of this world forehand, this time inside out. Perhaps the best of the lot. Winner number 14 off that forehand side. Well not surprisingly he comes in for a big serve. Murray puts another forehand volley at the net. It just hasn't been his day has it? The twice champion bundled out the opening hurdle for the first time in his 13 appearances here for Andrea Vavasori. Meantime it's his biggest win by ranking.
