Real life story: Don’t forget your dream

This is a real story of Ang Lee who has a dream of being a filmmaker when he was young despite objections from his dad. After graduation from university, he soon realized his dad was true, the reality of working in film was really harsh. Although he made great effort in creating screenplays, he was rejected multiple times over the next 6 years.
He decided to get married at the age of 30, then he became full-time house-husband and the wife supported the family's finances. This situation put enormous pressure on the couple and he seemed to have forgotten his dream. But with his wife’s understanding and encouragement, his dream was beginning to come back to life.
One day, he joined a screenplay contest in Taiwan-his hometown and won first and second place. This was a turning point in his career then he was asked to direct a film and many famous films after that.
With his consistency to follow the dream, he finally succeeded and achieved prestigious awards. He is the first Asian director winning the Academy Awards for best Director and is one of few directors winning the award twice.
