1ST HALF DUEL! LeBron James (21 PTS) vs Klay Thompson (19 PTS) In Game 2! | May 4, 2023

He had six points in eight minutes in game one. James knocks down the three and that's a great sign for the Lakers. James, no hesitation, got another three. Game one, the entire second half. So far though, the Lakers have taken 14 shots. Davis has only taken one. Thompson has taken two and that's his first make. He was only 6 of 20 from three so far in the playoffs. Thompson, the soft touch, gets the bounce. James using the screen, finding his way, pulls up, jump shot is good. LeBron James, 10 points already. Finds some room, bank shot, he can't get it to go. And Davis with his fourth rebound. James, the spin move and the layup. James pulls up inside the arcs, got it! LeBron James lighting it up here in the first quarter, 1.5 remaining. Stolen by Curry. Curry on the drive, now pulls back, finds Klay Thompson. History partners! Russell. Bad pass, but it finds its way to James who has to hoist it up, and he banks it in! Wow! LeBron James with the shot clock expiring, had to throw it up at the rim. What a shot by LeBron. First of all, the awareness, recognizing the clock is dwindling down, doesn't try to do much. Turns, elevates, sees the rim. It's late, but the bank is open. 19 points in 14 minutes. Such a critical player for these Warriors. Missed all those games at the end of the season with a personal family matter. Last 25 games as Thompson hits a three! Thompson lobs it in to Green. Klay Thompson feeling it a bit right now, knocks down another three! His fourth of the first half. Look at how great it's shooting. Misses that one. DiVincenzo with the save. Here comes Wiggins. Thompson is open. Fires up a three! Got it! They gotta get to the free throw line. That was part of their great defense the other night. And I like this LeBron James going into the post. When you get to the free throw line, you're able to set your defense.
