The stakes are high for both sides in today's London derby.
Arsenal have to win to maintain hope of catching City at the top of the table.
Chelsea are desperate to move back into the top half.
Time for a look at the key starting line-ups beginning with the Gunners.
Robbie Musto.
Well, three changes.
The team that lost out to Manchester City and a very interesting one at centre-back
Jakob Kivio comes in to make his first Premier League start for the Gunners, playing alongside
Gabriel defensively there.
Another change in the middle of midfield, Jorginho, more of a passing player than Thomas
Paz who drops to the bench.
You might see, as ever with Arsenal, you might see Zinchenko coming into midfield to
help out Jorginho when they have the ball control of it, just to help defensively there.
And the other interesting change is Trussart.
Trussart's in for Gabriel Martinelli and Jesus, I feel, will play in the number nine
position.
Now let's take a look at how Chelsea will line up.
Well, I just had a chat with Lee Dixon and he confirmed that they're warming up in a
back four for Chelsea, which is different to what they've done in recent weeks.
Certainly last time out, Fafana and Thiago Silva will be the central defensive partnership
in the middle.
They're as insane as the last game and Golikante and Kovacic will be able to get forward a
little bit more.
And, of course, all eyes go to the number nine now.
It looks like Sterling will play left and Madagac comes in on the right hand side.
But Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, ex-Arsenal player, fell out apparently, reports say,
with Mikel Arteta.
Everything to prove, possibly, I think is a good pick by Frank Lampard.
This is competing.
It's an awkward one for Azpilicueta, who needed saving from himself.
Can't get enough on the header.
Just he's waiting for it, Azpilicueta.
You can see there's no pace on it at all.
Xhaka reads him, just goes, yeah, it's going there and he gets there.
Just can't get enough on it.
Big chance that.
Chino, Trossard, Trossard's cross, Saka's header!
Clawed out by Kepa, backed by Jesus, chased in by White and chased out by Sterling.
So it's the start of February.
Jesus, Xhaka and Arteta!
has cheered up Arsenal plenty.
Well it's a brilliant bit of football, everything about it.
The first one, the ball in between the lines, just watch it.
Bypasses the midfield of Chelsea and then it goes into a crossing position.
The cross is brilliant, he picks him out.
This ball here, just behind the midfield, then they can set it up.
Jesus does that, Xhaka does the rest and that is a worldy finish.
The guy's got gold boots, he can do anything with a football.
He just waits, he doesn't rush, he knows he's got time,
he knows there's no-one around him.
It's like a training goal, just leans back,
Kepa gets a hand on it and it's passed him before he knows it.
wonderful precision and off the underside of the crossbar.
Martin Odergaard's 13th goal of a fabulously productive and massively watchable season.
Chilwell away from Saka. It's Ben Chilwell! Great reach by Ramsdale.
He just gets on the outside of Saka, the ball in between, fights for it and then he's one thing in his mind, it's a good save.
Ramsdale expect to make that, it's a good height for him.
Just go lateral and put his hand out and it's virtually there, but good save.
Crack a little pop!
Eternally alive, ready to snatch his moment.
The moment came and Odegaard snatched it again.
Well, it's that combination again.
Schack has been the one in that inside left position
who's made runs beyond the back line.
He's tried to make things happen.
When he gets an opportunity to put the ball in the box,
invariably hits his target.
And it's again a flat cross right across the 18-yard box.
Just see Odegaard in the middle, just on the back of Sterling.
There's the gap, just wanders into it.
Sterling's no idea he's there, thinks he's got him.
Edge of the box, there's the space and there's the goal.
That's a difficult ball to put in.
Watch it bounce just before it comes to him.
Just there, that's a hard one to hit,
but he smothers over the top of it.
It's a brilliant finish.
Well worthy of applause from the boss, $60,000.
He has a beautiful relationship with the football, Martin Obergard.
They just understand each other.
Dipped in by Saka, nervously out by Fofana.
Kovacic got a touch, Eugenio kept it alive.
Urdekard and White and Gabriel Jesus!
Hostile offering again!
And they have their boots on Chelsea's throat.
Top again, where they dream of being again.
Maybe it's still alive.
Well, Chelsea are a mess.
They really are.
They're not even getting the second balls in the box.
They don't win the first challenge.
The second one's even more important.
Look at all those blue shirts, head to the box.
Doesn't mean you've got a good defense.
They lose the first one.
Try and put a block on.
They're throwing bodies at it, but it bounces to Jesus.
He's first to it.
Aspilla Coeta gets caught underneath the ball.
For Farners, all over the shot.
And Arsenal are rampant.
It's a double figure season for Gabriel Jesus, his tenth goal.
Delivered pass for Jesus.
Off for Fafana and left a flaying limb behind.
Fafana's gone to ground and the actions of Jesus here will be more forensically inspected.
Yeah, he will. The AR will have a look at this.
He swung out with his arm and he caught Fafana.
Whether there was any intent in there, the AR will decide.
You see this, he's getting it. It's all over him for Fafana to be fair.
Thinks he's going out, keeps it in. Just watch the left hand there.
Goes to push him away, catches him with his elbow and then he gets absolutely clobbered.
That wasn't his elbow was it?
It was a pushing arm.
has been checked and cleared by P.A.R.
And Fofana gets his free kick, to which he's certainly entitled.
There's no card for Jesus at all.
Yeah, just watch, tries to push him away.
Jesus was threatening to find a route round, that's Pinacueta, who had to take his ankle away.
I can't believe he's not getting a booking for this.
Jones deciding, you said something to him about maybe that's your last one, don't normally get a warning these days.
bit like his boss I guess Howard Webb. Big chap looks as though he's in charge.
He could do a push up Howard Webb I can tell you that.
Cross-over with depth. Off the line by Silva and it hadn't crossed the line.
Referee felt for his watch there was no vibration.
And you just just look at the bodies around him.
Ben White who's kind of just standing in front of him there he doesn't have to get out of his way.
He gets a, Gabriel gets a shoulder on it. It's really good play from Silva off the line.
Didn't cross obviously as the watch told us that but it was good to see it in the naked eye.
Good control that's quite easy to knock that in with you.
Step back for credit. Xhaka.
Xhaka!
Pepper threw out of palm.
It's a good save it really is because it's underneath Xhaka's feet.
So you don't expect him to shoot.
He gets a little bit of luck finds himself.
Great move really good passing move.
Xhaka should he go out outside him but he tries to not make the Fafana and it's underneath his feet.
So he doesn't know when he's going to shoot.
Just look no back lift.
Good hand.
Jorginho, Dakar.
Hokkai Osaka!
Fist it past the post.
Every Chelsea player is looking round at each other,
almost saying, well it's not my fault.
Kovacic, that's a Super Bowl.
Maduike scores for Chelsea.
Chelsea goals rare to the point of preciousness, and he has won.
Not happy at all, Ramsdale.
It's a good run from Maduike,
and when he's had good runs, dribbling, or got in good positions,
his final pass or cross has let him down.
Chenko going laterally, and he doesn't see him just go onto his back,
and it's a good touch.
It bounces up a little bit, and it just gets something on it from Gabriel.
I think that takes it over Ramsdale's hand,
just there, bangs into the ground, and he'll be furious.
There's the touch, and it's just up in the air, he's waiting for it to come down.
Gabriel gets something on it, but Maduike will get the goal.
And it is his first Chelsea goal in his third Premier League start.
Last goal was for PSV Eindhoven at Sparta Rotterdam in January,
just prior to his move to London.
Nelson made it his business to win that for Arsenal,
Jesus went over the lunge of Kovacic, who's going into the book.
as he was in the first title on this near side and then it really followed.
White and Urdekard. Not in Urdekard and down went Kepa.
The father left a little something in on the Reece Nelson.
Hasn't overly concerned the referee.
We're having a look at it. It's checked and cleared.
It's quick on that one, Mr VAR man.
This is White. Gets his shot away through the legs.
Difficult for Kepa. You're not going to see that late.
Gets a touch on the ball. Good decision.
Caporale is struggling again.
holding is going to be required here to come on if you like it's the senior
center-half now alongside N'Kivior at least for the last six or so
minutes here Arsenal are going to be shy of their two senior center-halves
It's going to require a not dissimilar revolution.
Here's Kai Havertz down in the palms of Ramsdale.
Couldn't wait to gobble it up, Ramsdale.
Good height for him.
bit of an in clean of a foul there but I don't think it was he just caught him off balance.
Erdogan, set Arsenal rolling.
Kaka, Granit Xhaka, Pepa repels.
Nelson's first to it, hung up towards Jesus.
Brought away here by Conte.
to stay down and Rob Jones has dug straight into his pocket for a card.
run a long way and again I get to put that challenge in and he was as quick as
he could but he was late
Arsenal are not done yet.
A win. At last, another win.
And tonight, Arteta and the Gunners will sleep again on the very top of the pile.
And Manchester City have them to reel in once more.
Martin Odegaard, delightful. Two smashing first-half goals.
Gabriel Jesus, a third which made it safe from a long way out.
And though Maduey did grab one back for Chelsea in the second half,
there was really much jeopardy. Chelsea's jeopardy is big picture.
They now have lost six games in a row.
Played six, lost six for poor Frank Lampard.
He has a task and a half between now and the end.
Arsenal's task still feels achievable.
They still dream the big dream.
And with justification after a London derby victory, which means much.
