Here's a look at the Red Sox
starting pitcher Nick Pivetta
one and two ERA at five point
one one coming into game three.
Well that's a lot of curveballs
and that's a fair ball and it's
off the glove of Devers and
Springer is going to be safe.
He would have had a tough time
even if he comes up with a way
back there and brings up
Bichette who is on fire.
Three thirty nine with seven
home runs.
Vladimir Guerrero Junior three
eleven with five home runs as a
fly ball in the left Yoshida
back up to the track.
He's there to make the play.
And Bichette back to first and
Matt Chapman getting ready to
step in three seventy four with
five home runs just named the
American League Player of the
Month for April.
There's a high fly ball driven
deep in the left center racing
back to Rand now circling he is
under to make the play that win
really cut it down and that is
a down number three Alec Manoa
walks continuing to be an issue
for Alec that era just under
five.
But in his last start against
Seattle it was a struggle.
He was battling dealing with
base runners and Alex Verdugo
talked about the Toronto Aces
celebrations after strikeouts.
He thought he goes about it the
wrong way when he celebrates and
he talks to hitters or at them
when he strikes them out.
Oh two and a swing and a miss as
Manoa puts him away on three
pitches and a bouncer to first
backhanded by Guerrero and he'll
change course go left and make
his way to the bag for out
number two.
Grounded in the hole it's short
Bichette with a long throw and
he got him a terrific play by
Bo Bichette to retire Justin
Turner and the Red Sox.
Here's Dalton Varsha lead off
the top of the second in this
scoreless game and hitting the
ball to right field like that's
going to work.
This one is gone a line drive
home run for Dalton Varsha his
fourth of the season and his
second in as many nights.
And what a jolt to the offense
it would be for him to come out
of this early season slump that
he was in and to start hitting
the ball like he's capable of
two down here's Vladimir
Guerrero Junior in the air to
left field and the wind can't do
a thing about this one.
A long home run for Vladimir
Guerrero Junior to make it two
to nothing.
You're going to change up inside
to a righty it better be down
and it was about Beltano four
hundred and fifty feet or home
run number six on the season for
Guerrero to down for Verdugo
little blooper down the right
field line.
This is going to drop in for a
head.
Springer has no chance for to go
may have broken his bat but he'll
take it.
It's the Red Sox first base hit.
It comes with two outs and it
extends the inning for Yoshida.
High in the air to center field
but lots of room for Kiermaier
to make the catch and in the
inning.
Varsha has got Peveta's number
tonight.
He's a board to lead off the
fourth.
And now Alejandro Kirk who
grounded out to short his first
time up and there he goes and
it's ball for the throw went into
center though and Varsha up and
on his way to third huge spot
for prevent Nick would trade two
outs for a run here.
So now Merrifield who is three
for six coming into this game
off of Peveta swung on and
missed with the slider.
He got a big out there for Nick
as he gets a K that'll bring up
Espinel one man out.
They lead at the corners.
Hot shot Kikwete Valdez it's one
on the first and a double play
just with the doctor ordered
there one down for Rafi.
Drills that one off Manoa it
rolls to the catcher the throw
is going to go up the line.
Oh keep going.
Rafi take it off and see what's
up with Manoa.
That was a wicked line drive off
him.
He's reaching for the baseball
but his manager is coming out
with a trainer to check on him.
He says he's OK.
He's going to have to convince
his manager John Schneider still
talking to him.
He's convinced him he will stay
first time tonight.
The Red Sox have had a runner in
scoring position as Jaron Duran
comes to the plate.
There's a line shot that'll get
it done.
That's into the gap all the way
to the wall and that'll bring in
the run Rafi scores and Duran
quickly into second with yet
another double.
He's becoming a doubles machine
and that makes it a two to one
game.
Now we'll see if Cossus can come
around play on his third into
the outfield Duran racing in a
third and he'll stop there.
There's a liner in the right
field that's got a hit and a big
one for Cossus.
He has tied the ball game that
drives in Duran and it's two to
he gets in the second base to
begin the inning and he'll get
credit for a double.
So a double for Kiermaier and
Springer and Springer lifts it
to left center field back on the
edge of the track Duran.
He'll make the catch.
Here comes Kiermaier and he's
into third.
Let's see how careful Pivetta is
here with Bobby Shatner Meyers
stunting down the line and a
block has been called.
Pivetta is called for a block
and Kiermaier into score and the
Red Sox won an explanation
Pivetta Wong and now Cora and he
is a board so the Red Sox have a
base runner here with one down
in the bottom of the fifth.
So a man on for Turner he's over
to well as a gap shot rolls all
the way to the warning track
Kiermaier with a sliding stab on
it.
His shoes in the third he's
going to stop there.
It'll be a double for Turner and
the Sox are in business here
with one down at second and
third.
Justin Turner smacks one to the
gap.
So now Rafi Devers Raphael one
for two a single popped him up
and it's been all there for the
second out.
So a hit batsman and that loads
the bases.
So they are all loaded up with
two down for Tristan Casas.
He did drive in a run with a
base hit as a base hit into
left field.
That'll bring in Yoshida one run
scores the Red Sox have tied it
up again.
Turner down a third good night
for Casas in a 3 3 game Red Sox
with a man at every base and a
ground ball.
Look at the bounce it took.
It's in the right field one run
is in Duran will score the Red
Sox are on top a bad hop.
It ate up Guerrero and deflected
into the outfield and the Sox
are in the lead productive out
for Verdugo.
Wong is over to third with one
out and the infield will come in
for Yoshida a runner in third
with one down and a liner off
the pitcher.
That's going to score the run.
That ball was hit wickedly as
well.
The Red Sox for the second time
in the game hit a line drive off
a Toronto pitcher and that
brings out the manager and the
trend is Deja Vu for them as the
Sox now lead at six to three.
So the Sox have a couple of base
runners and really since the
fourth inning it's been heavy
traffic against Toronto Red Sox
with two men aboard and he'll
slam that one down the line and
have to go all the way to the
wall.
Kiki is in Verdugo to third on
another extra base hit by
Yoshida as he scalds one down
that line.
Red Sox on top seven to three.
And here's Kiki who's one for
four single his last time up and
a three to home.
He's going to rattle that one up
the middle for a base hit.
Casas will be waved in.
Kiermaier will not throw and
that'll make it eight to three.
Kiki second knock of the ball
game.
He picks up the RBI and a little
more cushion.
Yeah it's a big RBI to right to
get that five run lead and one
more to get and the Red Sox
will take the first three from
Toronto and equal their win
total against the Blue Jays over
19 games last year swings and
pops it up.
Valdez going out Duran coming
in he'd like to take it.
He's got it and the Red Sox have
won again make that five in a
row for Boston eight three over
Toronto.
