But they often talk little about the struggles they faced in life.
So in today's video we will talk about Dr. Ambedkar's life struggle before he became a leader.
And see how he developed as a Dalit leader
So let's start
Birth and Early Life
On 14th April 1891 a son is born to Bima Bai and Ramji Maloji Sakpal.
Ramji Sakpal was an army officer who was stationed in Mahav in Madhya Pradesh.
Bima Bai decides to call her son Bhim
Before his birth, an uncle of Ram Ji who was living a life of sannyasi makes a fortune.
That this child born will one day become world famous
Ramji and Bimabai already had many children
Despite this, she had decided to do everything possible to get Bhim Rao a good education.
Two years later Ramji retired from the army and the whole family moved to Dapoli
It was originally billing from this.
Bhim is admitted to school at the age of 5
But for the whole family it was difficult to live on the top army pension Ramji was getting
In such a situation, when some friends of Ramji find work for him in Satara, the family moves again.
But after a while they have to go through a traffic jam.
A woman who had been ill for some time also dies.
After this, Bhim's aunt Meera takes over the responsibility of taking care of the children.
Ramji used to tell stories of Mahabharata and Ramayana to his children
And we used to sing devotional songs for them too.
So Bhim and his brothers and sisters had a happy home life.
But friends, this does not mean that everything was easy for Bhim Raochi ji.
Let's see what kind of difficulties he faced.
At the peak of his life, Bhim's mind goes to doing something different with him and his family.
In school, he used to sit on a rough mat in a corner of the room, away from the rest of the students.
In the break they were not allowed to drink water from the pot from which other children drank
Bhim didn 't understand why they were treated differently.
What's wrong with them?
Once he and his older brother
I had to travel to a white village to spend my summer holidays,
Where his father was working as a cashier.
They get off the train and wait at the station for a long time,
But Ramji can't come to meet them.
Bhim and his brother were quite well dressed, clean and well-lit.
Stationmaster comes to them with a little show,
And ask who these people are and where they're going.
But Bhim without thinking anything tells them that they are Maharaj.
The stationmaster is surprised to hear this.
His facial expressions change and he gets back to them.
After this, Bhim thinks of hiring Bullak to reach his father.
But the word had reached the man that these people are unintelligible and therefore he did not even want to talk to them.
They have to agree to pay double the trip's price.
And also the cutting has to be done by himself.
The driver walks with the cutter because he was afraid of being turned away.
During this entire journey, Bhim constantly thinks about whatever has happened.
But they don't understand the reason behind it.
And his brothers were Adam Klein and Nittley Dresden.
Yet how could all things be turned upside down by his instigation.
Bhim never forgets this incident.
As they grew up, these kind of senseless insulations made them realize
That the Hindu society which is called Untouchable is absolutely stupid, cruel and unrepentant.
His sister had to do her haircut at home.
Because the villagers were afraid of being overrun by an untouchable force.
If Bhim asked his sister why she is untouchable, her boss would have one answer:
Bhim was not satisfied with this answer.
He knew that this has always been happening, but that does not mean that there is a reason behind it or that it should continue to happen.
He appreciated the ability of Bhim and praised his good work and praised him. He changed Bhim's last name to his own surname Ambitkar.
Earlier in school, Bhim's surname was given to him by his father, Ambitkar, which meant that he came from his native village, Ambitkar.
After this teachers ask Bhim's father Ram ji
That his son Bhim will get the best education.
At his word, Ramji was talking to his father in Bombay.
They have to live in an area like this.
Where people used to live.
And that too in just a small room.
But Bhim India's one of the best schools
You can get into Elphinstone High School.
Because of the whole family living together in a small room
He was a very crowded fill.
And the streets outside were also very noisy.
So Bhim used to sleep after coming from school.
And then his father would wake him up at two o'clock.
At that time everything was quiet.
And Bhim could keep his humbuck and study peacefully.
In this big city, where life was more modern than villages,
Bhim finds that he is still called untouchable.
And they are treated as if they are very different and bad.
Even in his Femis school it was like this.
One day the teacher called him to the blackboard to solve the equation.
At this, all the rebellious boys in the class stood up and showed displeasure.
Because behind the blackboard were his lunch boxes.
And he believed that Bhim would turn his food upside down.
And when Bhim wanted to take education of Sanskrit, he was told that it is forbidden for the untouchables.
So she reads Persian.
However, he also learned Sanskrit by himself.
Meanwhile, at the age of seventeen, Bhim passed the matriculation exam.
He was the first person from his community to do so.
Early marriages were common at that time.
So this year Bhim was married to Rama Bai.
Bhim continued his hard work in studies and passed the next intermediate examination with distinction.
But now beyond that Ramji was unable to pay school fees.
In such a situation, a goodwill of Bhim sent a recommendation to Maharaja of Baroda, Gayakwad.
Shah Maharaj granted him a monthly scholarship. With the help of this scholarship, Bhim Rao passed his exam in 1912.
And after this they are given a job in the civil service.
But only after two weeks he returns to Bombay to his home.
Because Ramji was very ill and after some time he passed away.
After this in 1913 friends Bhim Rao gets a chance to further study.
In fact, the Maharajah of Baroda started a scheme under which some outstanding scholars were to be sent to Baroda for further studies.
Within two years he gets his M.A. degree and the next year he completes his Ph.D. thesis.
After this he leaves Colombia and goes to England and there he joins the London School of Economics.
However, they have to leave London before completing the course because the scholarship given by the State and Baroda expire.
Bhim Rao had a doctorate and was training for a top job.
But even after all this, they have to face the worst features of the Hindu caste system.
It was more difficult now because they had been living outside the country for the last four years.
Totally free and away from the label of untouchable.
No one in the office where he worked would give him files and papers in hand.
Everybody threw files on his desk nor was he given water to drink.
Respect is a long way off and all this just because of his cast.
Bhimrao ji has to go to many hotels for a room but no one is willing to give him a room.
Eventually he gets a place to stay in a Parsi guest house and even then he had decided to keep his cast secret.
They have to live in extremely poor conditions.
Bhimrao ji was hoping that he would soon find another place to live because of his civil service job.
But one morning, when he was leaving for work, a gang of angry people stood outside his room with sticks.
These people accuse Bhim Rao ji of overturning the hotel and threaten to leave by evening or else in such a situation Bhim Rao does what he does.
And because of no choice, they have to return to Bombay only after 12 days of new job.
In Bombay they try to start a shitty business in which they give people a bargain on investment.
But as soon as the customers are taught about their cast, this business also fails.
I.e. ability no matter how much, just because of a caste label, Bhimrao ji was taught to face disdain and discrimination everywhere.
Friends, after this, a new phase of Bhimrao ji's life begins.
Bhimrao rises as leader of India's untouchables
In 1918, Bhimrao became a lecturer at Sidnam College in Bombay and became a brilliant teaser and scholar among students here.
At the same time, he also started a Marathi news paper as a silent hero who becomes the voice of the untouchables.
Bhimrao ji also started organizing and attending conferences.
Because they knew that the suffrage of Dalits needed to be publicized and that they needed to fight for their absolute rights.
His own life had made him understand the importance of this struggle.
In 1920 with the help of some friends, Bhimrao was able to go back to London and do his studies at LSE.
Along with this, he also enrolls for the study of barista in the Gray's Inn.
In 1923 she returned to India with a doctorate in economics from LSE and those who have obtained a doctorate from this world famous institution must have been Indians before.
Besides, he had also qualified in Barista at Law.
But he knew that nothing had changed in India, his qualifications, untouchability, practice of untouchability, no one had a problem with it, it was still an obstacle to his career.
Yes, but now he had got the best education in the world and had the full capacity to lead the Dalit community.
Bhimrao dedicated his life to this task. Knowing the importance of education, Bhimrao started an association called the Bhaktivedanta Hittacarini Sabha in 1924.
After this, whether it was the Mahad Satyagraha in 1927, participating in round table conferences or ensuring Dalit rights in the Constituent Assembly, Bhimrao worked for the emancipation of Dalits.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambetkar not only became a leader of Dalits but also spoke of the rights of all vulnerable communities.
But, he made it into a great personality in his later life.
