The Warriors -- one win from moving on to the next round of the NBA playoffs -- have a 5 p.m. Game 6 tip-off time and many of their fans have difficult choices to make.
We've been talking about it because we're excited.
The Warriors are just one game away
from moving on to the next round.
They can close out the series against the Kings
at home tomorrow.
But you need to be ready a little bit early.
The NBA has switched up the tip-off time a bit for game six.
Andrea Nakano is at Chase Center with what this means for fans.
For the most part, the Warriors have
been sitting at that 7 to 7.30 time slot for a weeknight game.
But for game six, tip-off is at 5 o'clock
to make room for the Lakers and Grizzlies game.
For those that may be concerned about getting
to the game on time, no worries.
The chef has given all Doves fans
a pass to leave work early.
Make sure y'all get y'all butts in the seats at 5 o'clock.
Tip-off, it's a little early.
But everybody get off of work early in the Bay.
Let's go.
The earlier game time may make it
a bit challenging for some to get to Chase Center
on time on Friday.
But 8-year-old Jordan Gomez is pretty confident
that it won't conflict with his school schedule.
They're playing at 5.
OK.
Do you think you'll be out of school by then?
For sure.
For others like Dan Witt, it won't be as easy.
He hopes to be working from home so he can watch the game.
I'll try to figure out how to watch it, yeah.
The 5 o'clock start will force ticket holders
to make some adjustments to get to Chase Center on time.
The San Francisco Ferry tweeting,
we are aware that in its conspiracy
to kneecap the Warriors' dynasty,
the NBA has scheduled Friday's game six for 5 PM
and hopes fans will arrive late.
Of course, this tweet is a joke,
but ferry times have been moved to get fans to Chase on time.
The only ones that may be thrilled about the early start
are the businesses at Thrive City.
Wow, it's kind of like crazy.
That's all I could say.
Ella Chen says she will step out
of her assistant manager role to help in the kitchen.
I remember previous game, I was just doing dishes all day.
Unlike a normal game day
when business picks up around five,
dumpling time expects customers
will start packing the restaurant at two
and stay busy with a combination of in-person dining
and to-go orders.
Staff members will be on their feet for their entire shift.
Well, on game day, I would probably say 20,000 steps
or more because our kitchen is all the way in the back.
It's like a block distance from here to the kitchen.
So whether you're at Chase Center
or at home, Dubnation is confident
it will be on time to support its team
and cheer them on to a win.
I feel like since they beat them at the Golden 1 Center,
they should be able to beat them at home.
For those that don't have tickets to the game,
Thrive City will be open for a viewing party
that starts at three o'clock.
