Cuenca Ecuador was not our first choice back in 2016 when we first decided to leave the USA and move abroad.

We actually had our sights set on someplace a little closer to home. It's a town both of us had visited before so it was more familiar than Ecuador.

However, after doing a lot of research, we decided to book an exploratory trip to Cuenca, Ecuador for the Spring of 2017, and the rest is history! We fell in love with the city and moved back there 6 months later in September 2017.
