Well, the stage is set at Stamford Bridge and here come Chelsea and Barcelona ready to write the next chapter in this epic Champions League season.
Well, Chelsea felt the pain of European heartbreak in Gothenburg two years ago at the hands of their opponents, Barcelona.
JC for Barcelona can come forward, but has to wait for options to arrive.
Now, Caroline Graham Hansen.
Graham Hansen! Oh, strike!
Barcelona take the early lead in the first leg of this semifinal in the Champions League.
And it's Caroline Graham-Hansen with a stunning strike to put Barcelona ahead early on.
Players that have the ability to do this from really far out.
Graham-Hansen on that right-hand side.
She's no real threat there.
Then she gets closer, but she's got the ability.
It was absolutely like a rocket struck it with her left foot coming inside.
And that's a really fantastic start for Barcelona.
Not quite for Chelsea.
What an electric start for Barcelona and Caroline Graham-Hansen.
Here's Walsh.
Guerreiro tried to take the turn, but Cuthbert a bit too much in that challenge.
bronze for options and looking for Graham Hansen again is making a way
through and in the end the shot was a tame one on goal.
It passed into Pariolo, now Jacey.
Jacey will take the strike.
It was a decent effort in the end into the hands of Berger.
Yeah, a couple of times now, obviously with the goal,
Chelsea have allowed Caroline Graham-Hansen to get a touch and space
in the box on her left foot.
Fourth minute goal from Caroline Graham-Hansen.
Sam Kerr heads on, good header to find Guru Raiten.
Out to Sam Kerr again, took a deflection and forced a save from Panyos.
Good play.
The elder, Leopold plays it on to Sam Kerr, space opening up for Chelsea and Guru Raiten
is waiting for it on the left.
This is Guru Raiten to make it one!
The flag is up.
And I think that all of Barcelona players
thought that they'd play.
I think it is offside.
It was Lucy Brons right at the end,
just before the ball was played through.
She managed to play offside there,
but that is a good indication.
Mielder for Sam Curran.
Giroiraiten could be through here.
It's Giroiraiten to try and finish and Lucy Brons got in the way to deny.
Knows that she's got to make that run.
And I think the most unfortunate bit about this is Lucy Brons
just did enough physically, but it ends up on Giroiraiten's right foot.
I think if it had been a left foot, it would have been in the back of the net.
She would usually, quite a lot of bodies in there
and quite a lot of the time she gets crowded out physically.
Well a yellow card for Sam Kerr after that challenge.
JC is Carter confident play from Carter at the back headed over by Kurt.
Well, Guru Wrighton wanted to see a handball.
Yes, definitely handball.
Gone Chelsea's way.
Bean, all you have to look at really is the reaction of players.
Players can't help the reactions.
Barcelona players look like they were ready for the whistle
and Chelsea players were.
Well, that will be that for the first 45 minutes.
And what an electrifying first 45 minutes we've had as well.
It was Barcelona who were able to take the early lead.
Walsh picked up here by Lauren James. Lauren James who takes it early. Panios was there to stop it.
Tell you what, probably could have taken another touch inside. She's got a hammer of a right foot.
That was her first chance really. Managed to find her own ball.
really get enough on it, get the equaliser, then it changes how
the second leg will be. It's up by Rolfe. Through to Paraiolo,
now JC. Paraiolo, good play from Barcelona, JC's there. Got the
shot away, but it was comfortable in the end for
Berger. Terrific play, great movement on the edge of the
area. Those two really haven't really got going in this game,
but that little combination, Paraiolo, JC, terrific play,
just couldn't get the power in the shot. To the feet of
Paraiolo, but Mielda was able to clear it away. Now just a
few gaps for those sort of runs appearing. But it just looks
Lucy like Chelsea are finding themselves under pressure. They
don't know how to deal with it. Yeah, they just think they're
running out of legs at the minute. Chelsea defensively,
they've been so strong defensively, but Barcelona are
absolutely relentless. But that's exactly what Chelsea
want Lauren James to do.
Perissey with a delivery.
Disa 1-2, still alive at the far post.
St Luxta tower above.
Kupfer to the hands of Páñuez.
Now that had to be a really good header.
Caldente forced back to Mappileon
and it's Caldente who stays down for Barcelona.
Now will be a yellow card shown here to Lauren James.
Title challenge really, aren't they?
Currently Manchester United top of the WSL table,
but it's Chelsea who are second behind them,
obviously having played two games less
because of their involvement in the Champions League.
But here comes Pariollo,
charging forward for Barcelona
and into the hands of Ann-Katrin Berger.
Well, she had to go all at it alone.
There was no support for her.
But first, this corner for Barcelona.
They're on with the delivery.
And all the way to the far post.
And Torejan off the post!
Perissey can clear it for Chelsea.
But what a chance for Barcelona to make it two.
Chan still alive.
This is Bonmati, Graham Hansen again,
and Torejan with a chance.
Now Lauren James for Chelsea has spotted Sam Kerr.
Hasan Kerr with a V-Cross in and Chelsea couldn't make anything of that attack.
into the feet here of Rolfer.
What a save.
Gets the strike away,
and it was a great save by Berger.
Tell you what, brilliant from Berger there.
I mean, that was such power from Rolfer,
right in that channel, really struck the ball well.
She loves that role. The villain, Kanyos, is the referee.
Going to give her a yellow card? Yeah, I thought so.
Corner though, and this possibly the last bit of play.
Delivery, a deep delivery. And if Charles can get it there.
And that will be that.
