'Man Utd don’t have to be SCARED! Neighbours are nice to each other!' | Pep | Man City 3-0 Sheff Utd

Good evening everyone I hope you're all doing well I don't see any microphones on either side so if you could just raise your hands we'll set an embargo towards the end for a few questions from the Monday team So where do we start please Jamie Do you need a mic I don't see one mate It was almost a perfect performance from your team considering you have Arsenal coming up and you're very close to Fission and the rest of the players Yes it's the fourth time in a row that we're here And the last one of course against Chelsea Arsenal and Arsenal-Chelsea-Liverpool we couldn't do it And today we carried out Something happened No I'm just trying to take it away from yours Sorry I'm just trying to stop that from happening I think you're okay Yeah I think it's this one Okay And we cannot These games what I said yesterday in the press conference It arrived from Munich two days ago But we need to try they need to perform well And they did it really well All the guys came from the bench and started Everyone was perfect everyone involved and happy Really really satisfied for the whole club to be in the FA Cup final after so many years Joe Of course it is Obviously it's Grampy with me when he doesn't play all the time He makes me notice how Grampy feels Today no He's an exceptional player Whether playing or not playing he's exceptional So the biggest stages require a player with the mentality to score a goal The composure during the penalty was important Finish the first half 1-0 and after the second and third were brilliant So yeah really good to be in the final Really really good and so satisfied with Riyad because he loves to play football And he has given many things over the years and hopefully more in the future For the fact that No concede Yeah of course in this type of games no concede They had a clear chance in the first minute In this type of game and against this type of opponent you cannot press because the balls are always long and solid No goal is conceded because they defend really well The crosses are a master set piece Every set piece is dangerous We struggled in the first half the first 10-15 minutes First half we didn't even win one second ball In the second half we adjusted some positions We won the second balls when they played long balls At the end especially with Maborni But yeah we moved them well We're a little short on finding a bit more Julian and Erling They have to move a little bit behind when the ball goes into the central positions But yeah in general it was a really good performance considering where we came from Especially three days ago where were The adrenaline you spend in that game is massive in all aspects And today for the first minute even in the locker room And we felt a vibe okay the guys are here And yeah you know three years in a row semi-finals out out and out To make it to the finals is doubly satisfying Going back to Mars he has performed very well besides the games What do you think makes him the right player for decisive games No but Riyad I think plays well in decisive games But also in the people who can say decisive games So Riyad loves to play football He's a big fan he's an amateur Like he's not a guy I have a contract I have to do my job I come here how many hours I have to train How many games I have to play do my job and go home It's completely the opposite He loves being in contact with the ball And that's why when he's upset don't play because he wants to play I understand completely But sometimes Bernardo gives us something on the sides that he cannot give us It's a matter of skills not because he can't do it Bernardo's or feel when playing Sometimes you need the special things and that's why I make a selection We have known each other for many years So I know I lost the battle to make him understand how important the group and everything is So yeah it's important when he plays to play at that level And when that's happened everything is fine Mike Is it your decision on defensive penalties No normally I don't take No it's yes I don't say who the taker is When they play together they talk to each other and it's fine As much as they score I don't care We know for many years especially in the Champions League how many penalties we miss and that we drop out of the competition and the others Erling missed the first one in Munich but of course he's great And Riyad one I like the most is the fact even missing penalties in the past Give me the ball again give me the ball again That defines the players I remember Erling after the game in Munich I asked him what did you think when you missed the penalties So I'm going to score next No next penalty next action I'm going to score And he scored So that defines the top players They don't live in the past They don't live thinking oh I miss I'm sad The moment he missed I said "I'm going to score " I'm going to score And this kind of mentality deserves to play for the big teams We don't have players of this type The team cannot be And it comes from the fabric It cannot come from the manager's side What your thoughts will be comes from themselves That's why it's so important to discover this kind of thing before signing a player Because at the end it makes the difference I know you said before the game But you're now in the final of the FA Cup The title is in your hands You're in the semi -finals of the Champions League But I also know there are some Manchester United fans Who are very scared you're going to do the treble Are they right to be scared And what's it going to take to do that They don't have to be scared We are neighbors So the neighbors are always nice to each other Still I said yesterday we are far away and people cannot believe we are far away about this kind of situations The travels in this kind of discusses that Okay for a funny moment it's okay But the reality is completely different Reality has come here and is performing I have said this many times and will repeat it again The most impressed I have been by this club from the hierarchy down to the last person in the backroom staff is after many many years I would say six seven years I would say six years winning titles titles and titles And when you lose the titles you lose in the last stages and final Champions League semi-finals Or FA Cup semi-final two times still we are there one more year And this is what I'm proud of the most as a manager And that's why I like to be here And I love to work with this club for many reasons for that reason because one year you can do but I don't wanna win a Champions League and after the next three years You are in the bottom or not fighting you have to fight That is not So Champions League destroys projects most of the times when you win or when you lose And this club is quite a stable one in that sense Of course I'm here sitting but we won the Premier League we won titles otherwise we' ll be another manager I'm not that naive But at the same time we analyze the situation the team what we need and what we are doing Not come just for specific results That' s why after six years we are in the last stages the last six or seven weeks left and still we are fighting for the titles Okay we lost the Carabao Cup but we're still here to lose the biggest titles And this is the most important trophy that we can win Thank you so much of course for the people I said to the guys so the worst performance we have done in the season is FA Cup semi-finals The worst We were not here So and today traveled a lot a lot of people from Manchester like they don 't have the privilege that we have At least we have to perform well guys At least that Perform who we are I'm not talking about winning or losing perform who we are In the first minute In the locker room in the warm-up and everything the team was there And that's why we could win Guys I 've got one more before the embargo Just here please Can you share your thoughts on Sheffield United's performance today And how important was that penalty on the silver trophy Yeah it was really important Today is a final And these decisive situations are key In this type of game many things would happen if their first action was scorable And they defend well we start to play anxiously And they make a transition and then you can lose a game So that's why we stay well in those situations and Stefan makes another exceptional game Many players who don't play regularly help us a lot to make a really good game like Sergio was and many of them So and yeah So Sheffield is not mathematically but it's already a team of the Premier League next season So that means it's a good team Is that an embargo for 10:30 on Sunday evening Autumn Yeah
