Senate Democrats Oppose The GOP Attempt To Take Away Reproductive Freedom From Our Veterans

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senators Patty Murray (D-WA), Dick Durbin (D-IL), Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Mazie Hirono (D-HI), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), reproductive rights groups, and veterans oppose the Republican-led Congressional Review Act resolution to disapprove of the Department of Veteran Affairs’ interim rule on reproductive health care.
Republicans are expected to force a vote on this resolution this afternoon. The Senators will emphasize that after their tremendous sacrifice to defend our country, Democrats will fight to protect veterans’ ability to receive the reproductive health care they need.
