Incheon Bridge in South Korea
Incheon Bridge, also known as the Incheon Grand Bridge, is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the Incheon Strait, connecting the South Korean city of Incheon with Yeongjong Island. The bridge is an important transportation link, providing a direct connection between Incheon International Airport and the mainland.
The construction of the bridge began in 2005 and was completed in 2009. It has a total length of 21.38 kilometers (13.28 miles) and a main span of 800 meters (2,625 feet), making it the fourth longest cable-stayed bridge in the world at the time of its completion. The bridge has six lanes of traffic and also includes a pedestrian and bicycle lane.
The Incheon Bridge has become a popular tourist attraction, offering scenic views of the surrounding area and the Yellow Sea. It has also helped to stimulate economic growth in the Incheon area by improving transportation links and facilitating the movement of goods and people.
