This is Tbilisi, the other Georgia.
Good morning, good morning from Tbilisi.
Yes, country 66.
So excited to explore.
Oh my god, I just have to say the neighbors in our Airbnb are the cutest.
Every time they're out when we're here, they wave at us, they smile, like so so welcoming.
So it isn't actually as dark and gloomy as it looks.
Our first impressions of Tbilisi is that there's a really diverse mix of buildings between old,
even older, and kind of new.
One thing we've noticed is that there are EU flags and like EU references and EU symbols
everywhere, despite Georgia not being part of the EU.
Georgia is really trying its best to get closer to the EU, which is really cool.
So far, really loving Tbilisi.
So Georgia, you are more than welcome to get closer to Europe.
Okay, wow, thank you.
This is the one Georgian vegan specialty we can try.
It looks really scary.
It looks like a sausage or something, but it's nuts and like a fruit juice slash syrup.
So I don't even know how to start.
I'll just...
It's actually really good.
Wow, I love this.
Oscar, here.
That's really good.
Supposedly, this has like a huge amount of calories in it.
Oh, I'm not surprised.
Yeah.
In a weird way, it tastes like almost like a pancake with fruit in it.
It tastes very doughy.
All right.
Approved.
Churchkhela, approved.
This behind me is the coolest clock tower I've ever seen.
Big Ben who?
It gives me complete Alice in Wonderland vibes.
It also features the world's smallest clock on a clock tower.
At least, allegedly.
Also, don't try to say clock on a clock tower quickly many times in a row.
My god, we're having some vegan hoa cao cao.
Oh my god.
And avocado toast.
We always like getting a view of a new city from above.
So we walked up to the Tbilisi funicular station.
Okay, we gotta go.
We gotta go.
Quick, quick, quick.
One up.
Fun.
Here we go on a vernacular straight up.
Funicular, I think.
He was calling it vernacular before.
Something from Tbilisi.
That was it.
I thought we were going to get to ride even more.
You have all these kind of creepy underground tunnels.
So you don't have to walk across the road or you don't interrupt traffic.
But instead, it's really hard to find where to walk.
If you're not local and you don't know where to be, it's like...
Google Maps just wants you to cross the street.
That's what's confusing.
Wait, wait, wait.
I know that guy.
That's Lol Nas X.
All right, next up.
Something we haven't done in two months.
A haircut.
But we love getting haircuts in all different places around the world.
Are we Drew Binsky?
The thing we love more is saving money on haircuts.
Because in Sweden, they're ridiculously expensive.
And here's the result.
The styling is not how we would usually style it.
But they were really nice.
My guy was Iranian.
Yours was Turkish.
Two of the friendliest people.
All right, vegan food time.
Time for baklava.
So excited.
I haven't had this in how many months?
Like five months?
I don't know.
Oh, look at this.
Fully vegan pizza.
And Oscar has a delicious looking vegan shawarma.
Wow, that looks so good.
All right, we haven't really recorded so much today.
Because unfortunately, my computer has been broken.
Which is just the most stressful experience in any circumstances, of course.
But when traveling even more.
Because we won't be somewhere where we can fix it for like two weeks.
So we're going to a store now and just praying that it works out.
Wish us luck.
Well, okay, that didn't work.
They don't do any support there.
So now we need to go four kilometers to somewhere that actually does support.
Fun.
They had no idea what was wrong with the support place either.
So I handed it in and we need to pick it up before our flight tomorrow.
But it's in the opposite direction from the airport.
And now I won't have a computer for 24 hours.
Which is a lot when you work on your computer.
I wish I could help you.
It's just frustrating, you know.
That you buy such an expensive computer from a company like Apple.
And literally once you have it, it's like, sorry, your problem.
Anyway, it's all part of the adventure of travel.
I'm not dealing with this stuff at home.
Now we're going to eat our feelings.
Oh no, we were there.
All right, let's find it.
Look at this vegan, vegan food.
Yay, bring me the goodies.
So here is our cherry and apple tart.
Oscar got a little decaf coffee.
Let's cut into this and see that.
Oh yeah, oh that looks good.
It's good?
Yeah.
Actually, can I just eat this with my hands?
It'd be classy.
Perfect apple pie.
Oh my god, you guys, it's finally a sunny day.
Our third day in Georgia and probably going to be the most beautiful day.
So we're so excited about that.
Yeah, but I figured we'd actually tell you why we came to Georgia of all places.
We came here from Uzbekistan and we were supposed to go to Kyrgyzstan afterwards.
But we were checking the weather and it was supposed to rain or snow every single day.
And we wanted to go there to do our favorite thing, which is be in nature.
So we were like, there's not many flights from Tashkent.
But Tbilisi was one of them and we've never been here.
Since we're trying to go to 100 countries by the time we turn 25, we're like, let's do it.
It's straight west.
It looks like a really cool route on the flight map.
And now we're here.
After this, we're going to Kosovo, North Macedonia, and then back to Sweden.
This behind me is the Holy Trinity Cathedral and it's huge.
All right, you guys, so I went back.
It's the second day, obviously, after I gave my computer in to be fixed.
There's a serious problem with the motherboard, apparently, which was just replaced.
So this is an adventure that will continue for a long time now
because we're going to new countries just a few days in each.
So let's see how this is ultimately resolved.
All right, so we have like not even an hour left, like half an hour.
And we're like stressing through old town to get to see as much as possible.
This whole ordeal with the computer has really taken up too much time.
This feels almost like some kind of Swiss mountain village behind us.
It's really, really, really different on a sunny day.
So it seems we just walked all the way back to our previous country of Uzbekistan
because this is like pretty much identical to Samarkand.
So if you want a little taste, Tbilisi is a good place to come.
It's funny that it seems to have taken us to our very last half an hour
in Tbilisi to get to the actual touristy part of town
because this is the first place where everyone keeps approaching us with like,
you know, do you want to do a tour?
Do you want to come to my restaurant?
That kind of thing.
And we haven't seen that yet.
So this part of old town is really where tourists usually come.
This area is just so, so beautiful.
It feels like a fairy tale.
Yeah, it really feels like we're two Alice's in Wonderland right now.
Overall, we had a great time discovering the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
Until you hear from us again, see you around the world.
