A possible reopening of the Chinese border
Reports point to the relaxation of an important regulation
The mandatory 5-day stay in quarantine facilities upon arriving in China
All this while Chinese hospitals are facing an increase in the number of patients
According to reports some people are being treated on the floor
A first batch of Western vaccines arrives in
China but they are not for Chinese citizens
For now only German citizens in China will be able to access them
There are updates regarding Chinese police stations abroad
Now a new country has joined those that have initiated investigations into them
Taiwan launches fighter jets to defend against a Chinese Air Force incursion
The island's Ministry of Defense provided details in a statement
Welcome to China en Foco My name is Julián
Bertone Is China reopening its borders
Hong Kong media report on what could be a first step
Starting January 3rd foreign travelers to China will only need to
undergo a three-day home quarantine after arriving in the country
China's borders were closed to most international travelers
for nearly three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic
Travelers who were able to enter China had to stay in
quarantine in hotels or other designated facilities for five days
ree more days of home isolation after that
On Wednesday a spokesperson from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that China
It will offer more facilities to cross-border travelers but did not provide specific details
The statements came after the press asked whether Beijing
planned to improve its quarantine policy foreign travelers
If the Hong Kong report proves to be true the reduction of hotel
quarantines would represent a significant relaxation of the rules
I would suggest that the complete reopening of the border could be on the horizon
In the public health front the COVID-19 outbreak in China is worsening
The number of people exposed to the infection has skyrocketed
And the country's medical system is collapsing
Let's see what is happening
Various videos show overcrowded hospitals
A voice says that everyone is suffering from severe pneumonia or respiratory failure
While showing elderly people lying on the ground
There are no more beds available at the Chongqing Medical University Hospital
Some patients are receiving treatment on the floor
The outbreak in China is out of control
even in Beijing A netizen
posted a video from a Beijing hospital and said "Have you ever seen hell "
Not only are ordinary citizens fighting against COVID-19
Even a large number of high-ranking Communist Party officials are also infected
On December 20 an internet user posted on Weibo that the wife of a
former minister of electric power died in Beijing after being infected
The post includes notes from her son describing the scene when he was in the hospital
He said he almost fainted at the door
There was almost no space to put his feet as corpses were stacked horizontally and vertically
The doctor said that none of the elderly patients over 85 years old hospitalized in recent days
He returned home alive and publicly questioned the death toll reported by the PSC
A similar situation was described in a video from another Beijing resident
She had to go to three different hospitals to admit her father
He said the wait was at least four hours and that there was a shortage of beds
He mentioned that six people died while his father was receiving an IV
And some did not get a bed before dying
Millions of people are struggling to find treatment
In many Chinese cities fever and cold medications have sold out from pharmacies
But cases of COVID-19 are also rising outside of Beijing In
Shanghai a financial hub in eastern
China In Guangzhou to the south
And in the central city of Wuhan the epicenter of the pandemic there is an increase infection rates
The first batch of Western COVID-19 vaccines arrived in China on Wednesday
The shipment contains 11 500 doses of the German-made BioNTech vaccine
These vaccines are intended for German citizens living in China
although family members of other nationalities will not be included
The shipment takes place after Germany agreed to make Chinese vaccines available to Chinese citizens in Germany
Germany is also pushing for non-German citizens to be able to access the German vaccine if they wish
It is estimated to be around 20 000
So far foreigners in China have only been able to receive doses of vaccines produced in the country
It is believed that the efficacy of these injections is over 50% but lower than that of vaccines developed in the West
A truly important performance
For each of us
This is what you've been waiting for
See it at least once in your life
A completely new show every year
Despite the border conflicts with the Chinese communist regime
India is ready to help and supply malaria medication to the Chinese
population This according to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs
India is one of the largest manufacturers of medicines in the world
China did not respond publicly
For weeks China has been experiencing a shortage of cold and fever medications
It is because the number of COVID-19 infections skyrocketed in the country
On Wednesday Beijing rejected a U S offer to share COVID-19 vaccines with China
Asserting that the medicines and testing kits for the China virus could generally meet the demand
More than 100 secret police stations of the Chinese police were found
in foreign countries and are gradually being investigated or expelled
Ireland and the Netherlands ordered the closure of these outposts in their
countries and more than 10 countries launched investigations into the matter
Now Japan is one of them
The chief cabinet secretary stated that Japan will take all necessary measures to clarify the situation
He added that Japan sent a message to Chinese authorities stating that any activity violating Japan's sovereignty would be unacceptable
The human rights group Safeguard Defenders announced that Chinese authorities secretly established
More than a hundred police offices abroad in 53 countries
Among them are two in New York and one in Los Angeles
In their reports Safeguard Defenders revealed that the Chinese United
Front's Department of Labor is involved in managing these police positions
It appears that the Chinese Communist Party or CCP assigned them the task of influencing groups
Both inside and outside of China in favor of the party
China for its part again denied on Thursday the existence of these commissariats
On Thursday fighter jets from Taiwan were launched over the southeastern air defense zone of the island
The army sent them to repel about 40 Chinese planes that entered the area
According to the island's Ministry of Defense the incursion included 21 fighters and four H-6 bombers
They also deployed early warning aircraft anti-submarine aircraft and aerial refueling aircraft
Many of the planes flew over a riverway known as the Bashi Channel
They moved to a location off the southeast coast of the island
The ministry added that three Chinese navy vessels were also detected near Taiwan
As for Taiwan's response the island sent unspecified
combat aircraft while missile systems monitored their flight
Taiwan has been complaining about Chinese air force flights in recent years
The air defense identification zone of the island includes the Taiwanese airspace plus an additional boundary around it
The military uses it to identify and respond to planes approaching the island
China's regime claims Taiwan as its own territory
but the island is governed by its own democratically elected leaders and its own constitution
And it was never governed by the Chinese Communist Party
Next let's look at some stories behind the white paper movement that is taking place among the Chinese
Some Chinese students in Canada shared with us what they described as their awakening stories
From being supporters of the Chinese communist regime to demonstrators fighting against totalitarianism
This is what were told
In recent decades Chinese youth remained silent about the communist regime
But a recent fire in a neighborhood in Xinjiang caused a change
On the night of the incident the street blockades established as part of local COVID-19 measures
They prevented fire trucks from entering the neighborhood where
the burning building was located to rescue the people inside
This sparked protests throughout China against the country's zero-COVID policy
And because the demonstrators held white sheets of paper
The movement was named the "White Paper Revolution "
Chinese citizens from other countries also held events in support of the movement within China
NTD spoke with some Chinese students in Canada to find out why
they decided to rise up against the Chinese Communist Party or CCP
I believe supporting the revolution of the blank page is my duty
I love China I love its people I want to protect them
I want to do something to end their suffering
I am concerned about certain values such as freedom equity human rights and justice
Some protesters say they have gone through an awakening process
Some were part of the ranks of the so-called Little Roses of China
erm used to describe young people who blindly support the Chinese Communist Party
It's about realizing how corrupt the entire system is in China
I was in fact a little pink
But when I came into contact with the dark side of the Chinese
Communist Party I realized what truly weighs on the Chinese people
It is the Communist Party
After this awakening Wester Yang began to actively support freedom and democracy in China
He is the president of the Citizens'
Assembly a student association based in Canada
His mission is to fight according to his words against the Chinese totalitarian regime
Free access to the internet is playing a major role in changing
Chinese students After leaving the internet blockade in China
Basically I gained a basic understanding of the things the
Communist Party covers up such as the June 4th Tiananmen Massacre
After coming to Canada for university I gradually
started paying attention to Chinese human rights lawyers
They say they hope the movement against the PSC
continues In the path of anti-communism no one is alone
I used to think anti-communism was a choice but now I believe it is a
responsibility The United States and
the Chinese regime recently clashed
due to territorial disputes in the South China Sea
On Monday the U S Department of State
He expressed concern over the escalation of Chinese vessels in disputed waters
The territory is claimed by both China and the Philippines
The Department of State reiterated that the United States supports the
Philippines in its defense of the international order based on rules
The Philippines said on Wednesday that it was seriously
concerned about a report on Chinese constructions
It appears these structures are located in four
disabled areas of the disputed Spratly Islands
The country stated that this contradicts a 2002
statement In it China and the Southeast Asian countries
They committed to avoiding actions on the islands that could
escalate the disputes Thursday
the Philippines ordered its army
It would strengthen its presence in the disputed waters
The Chinese embassy in the Philippines accused the United States
To create a rift between the Philippines and China
The Chinese regime claims most of the South China Sea
Although an international court ruled that their claims are illegal
China tried to increase its influence in the region
Building and militarizing artificial
islands as well as deploying
ships The region is an important passage for international trade
It is a major route for annual commercial exchanges worth billions of
dollars and accounts for about 40%
of all natural gas traded worldwide
Throughout history people of faith have been tested in
defending their beliefs And the
21st century is no exception
But in a modernized world there is a battle
that not only seeks to destroy
believers but every person
Because there are messages that give a lot of
room to confusion and end up being a dialogue
Sixteen years ago some whistleblowers came
out of China with a very hard-to-believe story
That the Chinese communist regime was killing
Falun Gong practitioners to harvest their organs
What evidence is there of forced organ removal in China
Is this still happening today
What are the governments of the world doing about it
Let's see in the next interview with American Thought Leaders from the Epoch Times
The co-founder and executive director of the non-
profit organization Doctors Against Forced Organ Removal
Doctor Trey this took a long time to arrive
I remember that in 2006 I realized these murders
The organs in the Chinese industry were real
And I started reporting on it
And there was a small non-profit organization
It started in the same
year called Doctors Against
Forced Organ Removal You were one of the founders
We have interacted in various ways over the years
But before proceeding what are we referring to
What do we mean by forced organ removal
Yes the forced removal
of organs is
a practice that in 2006 no one thought could happen We created this term
It was our NGO that came up with it
It is the forced removal of organs
used for transplants
without the typical form of giving consent
Before donating an organ
In reality people are killed
People are killed for their organs
And I think it's fair to say that it only happens in China
Because large-scale crimes can only occur when the state
is sponsoring this crime And
it reached an industrial level
It could be said that it is the greatest
violation of medical ethics in history
Could you give us an overview of the types of
evidence lines that exist Something that has been
accumulating substantially since 2006
And they document the reality of this
This issue of evidence and proof
is something that comes up very often
There is brief summary of
transplant numbers Related
tests from the source of the
organs Where they come from
How they are donated
Then the testimonies from those who contact us
Over time we have followed the number of transplants
And its number in China is simply
disproportionate when examining the cause
of transplants And also when comparing the annual number of transplants
With that of other countries
Yes I know what's happening in China
It's almost like a roller coaster
This is not found in other countries
that are based on ethical organizations
In other countries there is a gradual
and constant increase in organ donors
And also of transplants
But in China this seems not to be the case
Even in 2020
We have the example of the medical team
They wanted to perform a double lung transplant on a COVID
patient They then said that they
managed to do it in a single day
A compatible lung was found and
the transplant was
performed This is unthinkable in the Western transplant environment
Then it seems the organs are
obtained according to the demand
for transplants The waiting time in China usually fluctuates
between 2 and 14 days
It's very typical
There was a camera crew from South Korea
who were like a hidden camera
o one of these hospitals
and filmed a nurse who was attending
to patients from Korea
And the nurse said that generally
It takes two weeks to get a kidney but if you pay
an extra 10 000 dollars
you can get it in two days
This is unheard of
You can shorten the waiting time just by paying an extra amount of money
even down to just 2 days
So in terms of transplant numbers
it's a kind of discrepancy from
what is seen in all other countries
around the world This relates to
At the transplant numbers
and waiting times But there
are also data on donor
numbers We tracked a website
In which the organ donor numbers were displayed
For 18 months
we saw a gradual increase
and very slow in the number of registered donors
Then suddenly
at the end of 2015 on a day
Increased by 25 000
Exactly 25 000
which is unheard of
It seems to be an artificial number
where it simply adds up
to 25 000 ending with three
zeros Now supposedly these are registered donors
Real people but the
fact that suddenly 1
000 donors are
registered is unheard of
We saw it again the following year when 88 000
people were added to the
so-called donor reserve
registered organ donors
In reality there were no real organ donors
but the numbers seemed to answer
to a mathematical equation
A quadratic equation
I remember having read that post
As a perfect square
And then with these discrepancies
in these large numbers and the
lack of organ donors the question
is where do the organs come from
And this is where the witnesses come in I spoke with
Falun Gong practitioners who say
they were detained for two years
And they had blood tests ten
times David Matas interviewed
a prisoner who was not a
Falun Gong practitioner
He said they didn't do blood tests on him but he saw
that they did blood tests on
the Falun Gong practitioners
And now he is speaking to a Falun Gong practitioner a foreigner
saying that he was subjected
to forced medical examinations
While he was detained
while he was being tortured
That in itself is already implausible
If there is even one Falun Gong practitioner
saying that he was medically examined
you can say that it's anecdote
But if there are hundreds and thousands
of Falun Gong practitioners
Over the past 20 years they have
continued to say the same things and
share similar experiences claiming they were threatened by the police
With that if they spoke or did this or
that they would have their organs taken
from them and if there are so many witness
reports then it's no longer about that
From a simple anecdote
It becomes a test
So if you take all this and put it together
you have an overwhelming set
Evidence of circumstantial nature
The United States Congress
approved several resolutions on this
issue recognizing that it
involves a forced removal of organs
and the European Parliament as well
But these are non-binding measures
It is more of a statement
and an acknowledgment
But it does not really take on responsibility
To put an end to this abuse
The abuse of transplants
It is not strong enough
to send a message to China
And say that we are serious about
this issue and want it to end
This does not only happen in
governments but also in organizations
Where the information we provide about
this topic is blocked
at a certain level I
think it's something at the leadership
level because the members of organizations
They are much more open to
information and willing to take action
For example once we contacted
the American Medical Association
In which we collaborated with the
Washington D C Medical Society
and presented a resolution But at
one point the Delegates' Chamber
They are at the level of the members
He raised a question
and said we want
clarity These are the doctors who really
want to know what is happening
The members of the Chamber were seeking answers
they wanted answers It's
a very typical phenomenon
But the blockage occurs at the level
of leadership And I suppose this is also
a reflection of the pressure and influence
coming from the Chinese government
It can happen very
quickly The Chinese
government may say you are welcome
to come to our country for certain
conferences But there is this issue
I'm going to stray a bit I can 't
help but think that in a way this is
a reflection of the catastrophic
response the world had
Ahead of COVID
It's almost like what you're describing
Like a scenario prepared for what we saw happen
on a much larger scale
It affects a much larger group of people
Practically all of humanity
If you have knowledge that someone
is violating ethical
standards basic
rules and you don't react to it And
if the Chinese government is willing
Killing people not just a few but
on an industrial scale hundreds
of thousands And probably millions
of people in the last 20 years
What kind of mentality is
that If they do this to their own people
what do you think the Chinese
government will do to foreigners
So it's about a matter in
which we didn't react in
time Probably because we
thought China was far away
Then why should it matter to us
But it turns out that a few years later
we are affected by a pandemic
that spreads from China
I can't help but think that as a society
we allowed or turned a blind eye for
decades to what you describe as the
greatest medical ethics
violation in history
And in recent
years we have found
ourselves in a situation where
medical ethics violations are
rampant I can't help but wonder
If the fact that we turned a blind eye had any influence
on the current situation in
which a large number of people
He lost trust in the medical system
In the West I think part of our
leadership has somewhat deteriorated in terms of ethics That is
a danger But
I would say that the Chinese governme
It also aims to influence Western society
So we risk our ethical
standards declining
And so suddenly we
found ourselves facing a pandemic situation that truly
caught us by surprise Where decades
and centuries of scientific work
They were discarded For example if
you have a medication the typical
approach is that you have to
test it for 10 years to make sure
That there are no side effects
But this was already overlooked
So I wonder
if you give a tested remedy
only for half a year
how can you be certain
that if you give it to children
it won't have side effects in 10 or 20 years
It might cause cancer and other problems
We don't know
This is terrifying
That is basically
it's telling me that all of this
is actually part of PSG's game to
undermine our entire ethical system
And could lead to results like
those we are seeing right now
Honestly I hadn't thought of it
this way until now
Until this moment
If medicine is unable to
stop the forced removal of
organs then what will happen
to the medical profession
The concept of medicine the
goal of medicine is to help
a patient to save a patient
But if a person is murdered
To help others the medicine
is at a crossroads So I
think every doctor who takes
his profession seriously
He must analyze this
It is not a topic that only
transplant surgeons should address
But all doctors
And that's all for today in
Focus on China
From the entire
team we wish you a
very merry Christmas Until next time
