Empress of the Seas Day One Vlog

Well everybody, we are now setting sail. Nikki and I got our first drinks here, first drinks, and we are waiting in the Viking Crown Lounge to do the spa raffle. I never win, but you never know. They give away a couple spa packages that are, you know, $100, I think $50, something like that. So maybe I'll get a massage this time, but after this we're going to be heading down to the top tier event, which I'll bring you guys all along with me. My absolute favorite places on this ship is Deck 6, back of the Boleros Lounge. It is gorgeous. I'll just show you. So we decided to come back to room after doing the top tier diamond happy hour thing. I can't think of the name of it. It's not the top tier event because that's on day three, but they do like a evening reception for Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle members. So we're just freshening up. Let me give you a little shot of the room. An ocean view cabin. Olivia enjoys reading behind the window. The bunks for her, a little sitting area. This definitely is bigger than my interior from when I was on here in April. And then we have a bathroom, shower. Yeah, that's all she wrote. I'm so excited about dinner. Nikki and I went and looked at the dinner choices and Nikki, what are your thoughts? We are heading into the Royal Theater for the comedy show tonight. I saw this guy when we were on Empress in April. I loved him. Nikki, seriously, these drinks are just... They made my eyes water. I'm not gonna lie. It was raw. Like literally don't let it match by my mouth. Get your money's worth. Woke up wrong side of the bed. Baby, it's my birthday. Just putting on her own show for everybody. All right, it is main dining room time and just look at this menu. Get in my face. No. And then these are the primary reasons for shooting. Like if you have not had a dinner roll on a Royal Caribbean ship, you are missing out. Missing out. They're so good. Right, Olivia? Why do you like eating in the main dining room? Because I like it. What was your appetizer? No, your appetizer. The thing you just had. What did you eat first? Excellent. All righty. So I have the braised branzini. We are splitting the pork scallopini with polenta. And Nikki got the luncheon. Let's dig in. The skin on this like branzini is amazing. Now we've got this potato leaf risotto. Nikki, how are we with our rosemary lamb? Amazing. And now the most important meal of the day. Dessert. Olivia, what are those? Words cannot describe how excited I am right now. How excited are you? I need to eat this. Let's check this out. So good. Do you know what I hear? I hear that Belinda Carlyle sound like heaven is a place on earth. That's what this chocolate cake tastes like. All right, Nikki. Day one is in the books. Thoughts? It was wonderful and exactly what I needed to relax. Exactly. So tomorrow we have a full day. We're kind of calling it an early night tonight, but we have to be up early.
