Baalbek Megaliths

The Baalbek Megaliths are a set of massive stone blocks located in the ancient city of Baalbek, Lebanon. The stones were quarried from nearby limestone deposits and transported to the site over a distance of several kilometers.

The most famous of the Baalbek megaliths is the Trilithon, which consists of three enormous stone blocks weighing an estimated 800 tons each. These blocks are among the largest and heaviest ever used in ancient construction.
