(Premier League 2022/2023): Highlights Wolves - West Ham

There are so many matches still to play in the season, and so many points up for grabs, but this feels like a pivotal Premier League weekend. Now it's about the action, and West Ham United will start us. When all is said and done this season, we may look back on today as being key to creating the final pecking order. Jose Sarr just about missing out Antonio, but it's one back by West Ham. Wolves will start the second half. The history books can't split these two sides. Wolves and West Ham have fought out 13 Premier League matches in the past. Now Samedo, initially fed by Pudence, who's kept his run going. Mateus, in towards Hwang, it'll break for Pudence! It starts with this composure on the edge of the box. Not making a rash clearance. Martinho picks the pass and releases Samedo. This is what Wolves haven't done enough. They haven't gone quickly. Mateus Nunez running from midfield, crosses the ball, and as West Ham are running towards their own goal, they can only make half a clearance. And then it arrives at Pudence. The difference maker for Wolves. The attacker with a little bit of difference. Strides onto it with his right foot. Controls it low. Past a despairing Fabianski. Neves, just about. Traumatino, taken out. Neves, nicely taken down. What's the finish like? So close to perfection. He hits the post. Flag being waved. He does make an excellent run. The space is there. I thought Mateus Nunez hadn't seen him. And then hit the ball behind him. Neves, onto his right foot. Terrific hit. Thunders against the crossbar. Reine Norrie just drifted offside. But as he comes in on his right foot, Ruben Neves, you expect him to score. That's how good he is at striking the ball. There's a whole lot of potential in this squad. They're a lot better than where they are on the table. Neves showing his skills. Norrie showing composure. They have to commit numbers forward now, West Ham. It's Antonio Dama-Triore who can go through the gears. They've only scored six away goals, West Ham. Here come Wolves to finish it. Here it is! Seals the deal for Wolves. But the flag cuts the celebration short. We have an offside VAR check. But now we have a verdict. It is no goal. The game remains in the balance for now. Reine Norrie. Neves again. Triore for Wolves. Kabianski saves. And now has to get the ball as far up the field as possible. As quickly as possible. Maybe the better option for Wolves is to take it to the corner, but it doesn't matter. Quite simply, a huge Wolves win.
